You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact VG for more information about this pet. Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Salt is a 4 month old male Miniature Schnauzer who weighs in at 9 pounds.  This pup's adoption fee is $850.  If you are still interested, please read more below. Salt is a curious, sweet boy. He takes a minute to warm up, but once he trusts you, he’s a love. He’s good with other dogs, kids and is a quick learner. He’ll snuggle & loves to play with the leaves outside! He is vocal, like many schnauzers, so those who live in apartments should keep that in mind.  This pup is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered. The new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  Please note ARF does not approve applications for any puppy under 6 months of age to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting this pup fill out an online application today!  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.  ARF is an all volunteer organization.  Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved.  Thank you for your patience!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! We are  based in Wheaton, IL and conduct adoption events in the DuPage County area. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please submit an adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/  Adoption appointments are scheduled based on the order of applications received, so submit your application early! Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/ As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Pepper loves her foster sibling dogs, but isn’t so sure about people yet. She’s very shy and likes to follow her brother, Salt’s, lead. Other than being shy, she is a typical puppy, learning and growing! Salt and Pepper can be adopted together or separately. But Pepper would probably do best in a home with another dog.   This pup is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed. Scout came to us from MO where life was not what a puppy's life should be. She is getting used to people and quick movements.  She is slow to warm up to people but loves other dogs. She follows her foster dog all around the house and is starting to follow him outside to pee. She is doing great in her cage at night (as long as she can see you). She would do best with another dog in her home.  Scout is a Schnauzer and has recently found her voice. This breed is known to be vocal. Please keep this in mind regarding living in a condo or apartment where neighbors may not be happy.  This pup is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed. Story
Buddy is sweet and adorable and looking for a special forever home! Buddy came to us from a local shelter after he was found as a stray and not reclaimed. He is a very affectionate boy who loves people and going on walks. His ideal home would be quiet with someone home most of the time, and experienced schnauzer lover, and if there is another dog, one that is friendly and submissive. He does great with female dogs and submissive males. Buddy would do best in a home with a fenced yard and with no children since too much activity scares him. He is housebroken. He does not do well being handled by a groomer or vet, so we would not consider him to be a candidate to be a lap dog. But if you're looking for an affectionate companion, Buddy is available! He is about 5 years old, neutered, had a dental, up to date on shots, micro-chipped, heart-worm and fecal tested negative. He weighs about 12 lbs. He has NOT been cat tested, but he does not seem to have any prey drive. He is being fostered in the Chicago area. We require an adoption application, phone interview, virtual house check, and meet and greet with your entire family. For an adoption application, please visit us at https://www.petprofilerescue.org or at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1S5v9x1oGSYLBSfheZJ_zSvkIHoT3Fe_xnsq5V75IX9w/viewform?fbclid=IwAR0rU1zQezgZhhC_01_JpMFhujOq40cu8Xl4xKdiZ0b1L-3Pwm1Et-XI3K4&edit_requested=true If you have already submitted an application to us, email us at petprofilerescue@gmail.com to express your interest in this dog. We are foster based in the Chicago area and do NOT have a shelter or central location for you to view our dogs. Please consider SPONSORING him to help with our foster dogs' medical needs.
