Bailey is a 4-year-old Miniature Schnauzer with a sweet, gentle soul and a mellow personality. He walks nicely on a leash and is already potty trained, which makes him an easy companion for daily life. Bailey seems to get along well with other dogs, and while he’s mostly calm and relaxed, his playful side is starting to shine more each day. Some of Bailey’s favorite things include going for walks, relaxing on the couch with his people, and running around the yard with a human friend. We think he’d likely enjoy having a canine buddy to play with, too. When Bailey first arrived, his legs were severely matted, which was very uncomfortable for him. Because of that, he can still be a little sensitive when his front legs are touched. With patience and understanding, he continues to gain confidence and trust. Bailey would do best in an adult-only home or one with older children who understand how to respect his space and read his cues. Bailey has a special soft spot for men and absolutely loves their company. Like most Schnauzers, he does not shed but will need a forever family committed to regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. I`m a little black scruffy guy who believes life is better with a best dog or cat friend by your side. Other dogs (and cats) are my absolute favorite, and I`m ready to play the moment I meet them. Wiggles, zoomies, happy hops- if your furry friend is looking for a playmate, I`m already warming up. With people, I can be a bit shy at first, but don`t worry- other animals are a confidence booster who help me come out of my shell. I`m currently in foster care, and my foster dad has lots of good things to say about me:`Coltrane continues to do well and be happy here. He enjoys outdoor chase and wrestle sessions with the dog and indoor chase and wrestle sessions with the cat. He seems pretty well adapted to the daily household schedule. He sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom. No accidents in the house recently!`As you can see, I`m an active little guy who thrives on my friendships with other pets! My foster family have already started taking me to obedience training to give me a headstart in my forever home. This very handsome Cairn Terrier/Yorkie mix is seeking his forever home—and a cozy spot to spend his golden years. Chuck came to AHS after his beloved owner sadly passed away, and now he’s hoping to find a new family to shower with love. Chuck is a big fan of car rides (especially if they end at the vet—what a brave boy!) and considers the couch his favorite napping destination. He’s house- and crate-trained, and when it’s time to head outside, he’ll hop right by the door to let you know he’s ready for a potty break. Smart and stylish, Chuck even knows the adorable command “sit pretty!” This sweet guy is a pro at bath time, ear cleanings, and strolls around the neighborhood. He’d do best in a home with children ages 12 and up who will respect his cherished toys and treasures. If you’re searching for a handsome, loving companion to fill your home with warmth and tail wags, Chuck just might be your perfect match—at least Chuck sure hopes so! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age-appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family.
