Story
I am seeking to surrender my 12-year-old miniature schnauzer due to significant changes in our family circumstances. We are preparing to welcome a newborn, and with our current work schedules, we are no longer able to provide the level of care and attention our senior dog requires. He has several ongoing medical conditions, including arthritis, cataracts, incontinence, pancreatitis, and anxiety. These conditions require consistent care, patience, time, and financial resources that we are unfortunately unable to sustain at this time. With our current demands at home and work, the level of care he needs has become unmanageable for us. This has been a very difficult decision for our family, as he has been a loved part of our lives for many years. Our goal is to ensure he is placed in a safe, supportive environment where his medical and emotional needs can be properly managed and where he can remain comfortable in his senior years.

Story
If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a Miniature Schnauzer, Paisley could be the perfect match for you. At 3 years old and a petite 13 pounds, she’s a small girl with an incredibly big heart. Paisley is the sweetest, most loving companion, searching for a forever home where she can receive the care and attention she truly deserves. She is fully house-trained in her foster home and comfortable using a dog door. Cozy beds and soft couches are her favorite places to relax, and she’s quickly learning to enjoy leash walks, especially when wearing a harness. While she can still feel a bit nervous around parked cars, she has made wonderful progress considering she had no prior leash experience. Paisley would love nothing more than to sleep in bed with her new family if allowed. If there’s another dog in the home, she’s happy to follow their lead at bedtime. During the day, she’ll be your loyal shadow: quietly keeping you company while you work or watch TV and always ready to curl up in your lap for as long as you’ll let her. She’s truly a people-oriented dog who thrives on love, routine, and feeling safe. Paisley is ready to give her whole heart to a family who will do the same for her. To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $500, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.

Story
Meet Bug – A Miniature Schnauzer with a Big Personality! Atlanta, GA | 2.5 years old | Fully Vetted & Neutered Bug is a true Miniature Schnauzer through and through, smart, determined, and full of personality. At just under 20 lbs, he may be small in size, but don’t let that fool you. Bug is a working dog at heart and thrives when he’s mentally and physically fulfilled. If you're familiar with the breed, you’ll understand the quirks that make him so special. If you're new to Miniature Schnauzers, here's the quick scoop: they're intelligent, alert, spirited, and happiest when they have a job to do. Bug isn’t your typical lap dog, he’s not looking to be carried around or doted on all day. He’s looking for a partner. He loves structured walks, training, learning new skills, and going on adventures. He needs a home that understands his mind and embraces the joy of working with their dog, not just having one around. Bug originally came to us after being dumped at a shelter. He was adopted through our program by a loving family, but unfortunately, they couldn’t follow through with the structure and training Bug depends on to feel safe and confident. He became anxious and overwhelmed, which resulting in bite incidents, and we made the decision to welcome him back. Since returning, Bug has absolutely flourished. He’s a dream on the leash, loves his crate, settles beautifully on “place,” and is an all-around gentleman when given the leadership he needs. He’s proof that the right environment, one with guidance, patience, and understanding, makes all the difference. If you’re ready to build a real relationship with a dog like Bug, we’d love to chat. We offer training support to help adopters set their dogs up for long-term success, not because Bug needs it, but because he deserves it. Want to learn more about our training philosophy? Listen to our podcast, Think Like a Dog, where we talk all about Bug, our methods, and how to create lasting bonds with dogs just like him. https://thinklikeadog.buzzsprout.com PLEASE COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ONLINE INQUIRIES - ONLY ADOPTION APPLICANTS. ADOPTION LINK: https://airtable.com/appJMHBItTE2RWdqD/shrsP6tKWM2HcFZaA

Story
Maple is a 1½-year-old, female, Miniature Schnauzer with a gentle soul and a heart that’s just waiting to feel safe and loved. She may be a little shy when you first meet her, but beneath that timid exterior is a sweet, loyal companion who will blossom in the right home. Maple is looking for a calm, patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. She would do best in a quiet household where she can settle in at her own pace. Because of her sensitive nature, Maple is seeking a home without small children. Once she feels secure, Maple shows her affectionate side in the sweetest ways—soft tail wags, curious glances, and staying close to the person she trusts. With consistency, kindness, and reassurance, she has so much potential to grow into a devoted and loving companion. If you have a peaceful home and the patience to help a shy pup come out of her shell, Maple could be the perfect addition to your life. She’s ready to find her forever home—could it be with you? Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  Please note, we receive a large number of applications. We appreciate your patience as we complete our review processes. A personal interview, reference checks, meet and greet with pet, home visit and a solid vet history are required for adoption.  Ruff Dog Rescue—Turning RUFF Starts into New Beginnings.  ##2695433##
