HIGHLIGHTS:Needs another dog in the homeNeeds a fenced-in backyardMeet Indigo, a female Mini Schnauzer who is on a journey to finding her confidence. Right now, Indigo is still a bit unsure of herself and can be tricky to catch in playgroups, so she’ll benefit from a smaller, more controlled area until she feels more secure. However, once she’s in your arms, she settles down beautifully and does well with handling.Indigo enjoys the company of other dogs and will thrive in a home with a more confident canine companion to help show her the ropes. Though she isn’t food motivated, her love for playtime is evident, even if her playful nature makes her a bit hard to catch!A 4-foot fence will be essential to keep Indigo safe as she continues to build her confidence and explore her surroundings. With the right support and environment, Indigo is sure to blossom into the confident and loving dog she’s meant to be.Are you ready to offer Indigo the patience and understanding she needs? This sweet girl is eager to find her forever home where she can continue her journey to confidence and happiness.- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Story
Meet Bob, a timid yet gentle mini Schnauzer with a journey of trust ahead of him. Right now, he’s still learning that humans can be kind, gentle, and bring wonderful things like treats and cozy couches. Bob will need a confident dog companion in his new home to guide him, helping him build his confidence as he learns the ropes.Though he’s not ready for leash walks yet, he will require a fenced yard to help keep him safe. In a playgroup, Bob prefers the company of just one or two dog friends rather than big groups, but he’ll bond closely with his new dog buddy. While he’s still uncertain about being carried, we’ve discovered a playful side to Bob—he loves his toys! He can often be found in the back of his kennel, happily tossing toys around and squeaking away.Bob is seeking a quiet, patient family who will give him the space and time he needs to grow in trust. With the right love, patience, and plenty of squeaky toys, Bob has the potential to blossom into a loyal, gentle companion.- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
