Story
**Clyde is a mixed breed and we cannot guarantee he is allergy-friendly.** Charming, playful, and oh-so-cute, Clyde is the complete package! Clyde is about 3 months old and is the epitome of a happy puppy. He loves to spend his time romping around with a toy or wrestling with his foster brother. He is full of energy and is looking for a family who can ensure his days are full of fun. Clyde currently weighs about 10lbs and we estimate he will be around 35lbs when fully grown. Clyde came to us with his sister (who has already been adopted) after their previous family had to relocate after a house fire and couldn't bring all their dogs with them. They took good care of the puppies and surrendered them to us hoping for them to get great homes.  Clyde got his name because his big scruffy paws make him look like a Clydesdale horse. He has always been significantly bigger than his siblings and is growing like a weed. He is a loving boy who is eager to make friends with everyone he meets. He loves playtime but also appreciates a good cuddle session after he has burned all of his energy. He is very food-motivated and is very smart, which makes training a blast. He is still learning all his basic manners, so needs a family who can dedicate the time to continue working on his training and socialization. Clyde loves other dogs and we think he would do best in a home with another playful young dog so he always has someone to play with. We haven't seen Clyde with cats, but he might do well with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Clyde could make a wonderful addition to a family with kids 7 years or older. Clyde has been doing great with his housetraining but is still learning and his new family will need to be consistent about working on his training with him. He has done well being crated at night and being left in a pen while his foster parents work from home. He hasn't spent too much time at home alone, so he would do best with a family who can slowly acclimate him to being home alone. Clyde is such an awesome little dude and he is going to make the best addition to a family. If he sounds like he might be the pup for you, submit an adoption application today!   Clyde's adoption fee is $400.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/ Applications are also available on the website  ( www.yolospca.org )  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. Story
Buddy is a wonderful pet I have babied for 14 years. He has been been a pleasure but he is now a senior pet and with my current health issues I can not care for him. He is really sweet and loves to be rubbed. He is still active but spends most of his time resting. Buddy's birthday is April 16, 2010 and he has AKC certification. I am only parting with Buddy because I am very ill and can not care for him in manner which he deserves. Buddy needs someone to provide care and attention. He is sweet, lovable and will make a great companion. He does have hearing loss and arthritis but remains in good health.

Story
We have a transport set up to leave SoCal on 11/16/24 to NorCal and OR. We would love to add Libby to our trip for the right family ❤️ Travel costs are in addition to her adoption fee. Travel costs/adoption fee are always due when we arrive in person with your new baby in hand ❤️ Meet Dutchess. She is a 1 year old purebred miniature schnauzer. She is weighs 21 pounds. Yes, she is full grown and at a healthy weight. She is leggy, and very sturdy in size and weight. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had a wonderful exam with our vet, and has offically been cleared to find a home all her own ❤️ She is house trained, and will let you know when she needs to go outside by sitting by the back door. She will simply stand back if she doesn't need to go when asked to unless it's to accompany you outside and just hang out 🙂 She is crate trained, and currently sleeps in her crate at night only. She is very well behaved in the home, and has free roam throughout the day. She can easily have her sleeping arrangements changed to being in your room on a dog bed, or in bed with you if you desire. She LOVES human touch, and affection so the closer she can be to her humans, the happier she is ❤️❤️❤️ She is leash trained; and does very well on her walks. She looks forward to any length of walks, however often she can get them 💕 She used to always stroll around her neighborhood with her prior owner proud to be by his side always ☺️ She is AMAZING with other dogs and cats alike. She has gotton along with every animal she has ever met, so if you have others at home she will be their instant friend. However, her TRUE joy comes from her people, and as long as she has them then she doesn't need another animal in the home. She is very Velcro to her people, so if you have the time, space, and love to give them Dutchess's heart will always be full ❤️❤️❤️ She is amazing on road trips around town, and LOVES her spa days with our groomer. She is NOT a barker, but will alert you of unfamiliar sounds (sometimes 😂) She is that friend you never knew you needed. She is always waiting anxiously for you to return home, let alone from another room in the house 😂 She is excited the moment she locks eyes with you again, every time. Dutchess has a beautiful heart, and truly loves with every single ounce of it. Once she knows you are there to stay in her life, she will be your absolute best friend. It was very hard for her when she had to say goodbye to her past owner, but he unfortunately was unable to care for her the way she deserved and he wanted her to have a better life so he reached out to us to take her in. Dutchess will be nervous when she first meets you, but she will warm up quickly and without doubt. She has a kind soul, just one that knows loss so she never knows one's intention in her life, so please know that we are looking for someone to come in and give her the patience, understanding, and unconditional love she will need to thrive in life again ❤️❤️ Her adoption fee along with its breakdown is on our website at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/ at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/dutchess. It covers her spay, (she was in heat so she had an in heat spay increase which required longer anesthesia time, iv fluids, and an antibiotic shot that was given to aid in the healing of her in heat spay.) It also covers her ear plucking they did/exam, dental exam (ears and teeth both were in great health!), her Vaccines, microchip/registration, and her exam with our vet who has officially cleared her to find a home all her own ❤️ And as always, it also contributes to the care involved in time she has been here with us, her grooming costs, and the training we have personally done with her ☺️ Pictures attached are of her before her spa day (I'll have updated photos soon so make sure to check back!)
