Story
If you are seriously interested in an animal, we ask that you first fill out an application, tailsofrescue.org  This will be the first step to gaining more information about the animal as well as allow us to know a little bit about you.   If you’re searching for a wonderful, laid-back companion who is extremely loyal and affectionate, Peanut Butter may be the perfect match for you. He was rescued alongside Jelly, and both were initially very fearful and required shaving down to the skin due to their condition. While Peanut Butter is blind in one eye, it is intact, and he has been cleared of any medical issues and is currently thriving.  Jelly has since been adopted and underwent a DNA test, revealing her ancestry to be 33% Miniature Schnauzer, 19% Chihuahua, 18% Toy Fox Terrier, 17% Giant Schnauzer, and 13% Maltese. We believe Peanut Butter shares a closely related genetic background. This sweet boy craves companionship and loves to snuggle. Given his past experiences, we recommend a household with teenagers or older children. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes. The most challenging aspect has been managing his grooming, as he requires regular haircuts that require patience and care. Although he faced some challenges in a previous foster home, he is currently doing well and is taken out every couple of hours to go potty.  PB will chase cats   Weights about 13 pounds   Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $350.00  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.   ##2203582##
