Story
** ARIZONA ONLY ** PHOENIX METRO AREA ** Artie is a beautiful and exceptional purebred white mini Schnauzer. He is full grown, 3-4 years old, and 21 pounds. This little boy is so full of love and just wants to be close to his people. He is such a good boy! We would like there to be another friendly dog in the home for Artie – a dog that is similar in size and playfully compatible. Artie is seeking a home with a safe backyard for his potty breaks, a yard that has some turf or grass and is nicely manicured. He is not a candidate for apartment or condo living. Artie is an indoor dog who would be glad to lie near your feet if you work from home, follow you around the house to make sure everything in your world is happy, and be there for you when you need some love in your heart. He truly is as great as they come and we are seeking a family for him equally as great. Artie would be fine in an adult home but he is also good with children. Any children in the family should be at least ten years old and extremely kind in nature, very responsible and respectful. We want the best for him. If that is you, please let us know. Artie is health checked, microchipped, neutered, and current on vaccines. He will go home with harness and leash, plus collar and ID tag. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application. Please email to request one. PLEASE NOTE ** When rescued, we were told he was a schnauzer, and he sure looks like one. That said, he has the tail of a Lakeland Terrier, a breed that looks very much like a schnauzer -- so there is a possibility.....

Story
Perry is an active, spunky young male who we consider the class clown. He is always on the go and ready for a good time. He is good with dogs but a proper introduction is needed. He will need someone that can be active with him and get his energy out. His new family will need to teach with consistency and have some patience while he is learning the new rules of the house. Perry is about 1 year old and is happy and playful. He takes a minute to warm up and may bark a bit at new people but once he gets to know you (which happens pretty quickly) he will be yours forever! He is about 9 lbs and loves to play with other dogs. He loves sleeping in high places and is always in a “lookout post” when resting or relaxing. Perry is a loving dog who needs an owner who is a “pack leader.” He still needs socializing and we are actively introducing him to new people at the rescue as we can. He is so smart but also tends to become overly protective of his people if he feels he does not have a strong leader. His adoption fee is $325 He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair every dog and family for a successful and happy life.
