Story
Kendra was dropped in the pound in a high kill shelter with her 5 sisters at only 2 weeks old. She was bottle fed by her rescuer. She is fully vetted, just a little shy of new people and needs to be potty trained to your situation. She is going to be about 25 lbs fully grown.

Story
Dixie is an adorable petite black-and-white Miniature schnauzer. She was surrendered by a breeder so she has had a few litters but is now spayed and has had her teeth cleaned as well as some extractions. She is five years old almost 6 and weighs 10 pounds. She has a very sweet, gentle, kind temperament. She is initially shy but becomes quite playful and outgoing as she gets to know you. She is not had a lot of socialization but is not aggressive at all. She just needs to get out of the house and meet people so she can become a healthier dog mentally. Her experiences have been very limited up to this point in her life. She may need a little help with potty training although she is used to being crated and is very good in her crate. Schnauzers are very smart and she should be easy to train. She has not had a lot of time on a leash but we are working on that. She seems to get along with everybody she meets human and dog alike. If you have ever had a miniature schnauzer you know their undeniable devotion to their owners. They are some of the most loyal dogs and will be at your side as well as be your best friend. Dixie is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Dixie's adoption fee is $400 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs.
