Well on Wed Sept 25, you must tune in to see Cinder!!!! Cinder is a sweet and playful 3 yr old black Poochon, 10-12 lbs. He The girl made her way out of the Amish dog mills and has never been cared for or pampered. After delivering litter is pups, Cinder deserves a mommy makeover and wants you to see her 1st with her new look! Cinder is coming out of her shell more and more each day. She is very wary of human touch but wants to be loved so badly. She will take some time to warm up but is very skittish with people. Cinder definitely needs a doggie playmate as she is very playful! A fenced yard is also preferred as she can be a huge flight risk coming from a puppy mill. We are working on potty training and she is getting better every day. Cinder does ask 1 Huge Favor! Don't wait for her 'after' pics to send in your adoption application! Cinder is being fostered through Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue. Pls contact Julie Lane @ 2246889782 or dogcrazy623@gmail.com An adoption fee of $500 is required. Cinder will be fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She has her bags packed and is ready for your loving home.

Story
Meet Gabriel! Gabriel is a truly unique unique looking 4 year old male merle-colored poodle. He boasts of one blue eye and one brown. Gabriel weighs approximately 12 lbs. Gabriel was fortunate to have recently been released from a puppy mill and used as a breeder. His perfect adopter would be willing to practice patience, as Gabriel continues to transition from his previous life to that of a pet. This individual would need to continue to work with Gabriel on house training, and develop additional skills such as walking on a leash, if so desired. Recently, Gabriel learned that he enjoys receiving treats and sleeping in the comfort of a soft pet bed. While he is very shy and can be skiddish at times, Gabriel enjoys being scratched behind his ears and on his chest and belly. Gabriel is friendly with other dogs as well as cats. It is recommended that Gabriel's new family consist of members over the age of 12, as loud noises and excessive activity has the tendency to cause him anxiety. Gabriel is fully vetted and is available through Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue. An adoption fee is required. He is currently being fostered in Mukwonago, WI. If you're interested in meeting Gabriel, please complete an application at www.tinypawssmalldogrescue.org. If you have questions about Gabriel, please contact Kathie at 262-939-6404.

I am being fostered in Chicago. I went unsold and the breeder didn't want to waste money on feeding and cleaning me anymore so I found my way out. Luckily there's an out for us breeder dogs. I'm sweet and it's not my fault that I was born into a breeding situation. We didn't ask for this.I am cute and smart! Please pick me. My adoption fee of 800 includes my current vaccines. My microchip, bordatella, and my spay at our rescue vet. If you prefer your vet to preform my alteration 100 will be reimbursed to you upon completion, but this must be done. We have a contract and it's our mission to try to keep dogs out of shelters. Please apply if you are ready to adopt now, and have all your information filled out. It may kick it out if all areas in asterisks are not filled out.If you rent please have your information ready to email to us. Story
About Me: Name: Ya Ya Breed (or best guess): Shih Tzu - Poodle Approximate Age: 8 yr Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 8 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Fenced Yard, Another Small Dog Why In Rescue: Puppy Mill Survivor Profile:   Ya Ya came from a commercial breeder/puppy farmer who was no longer going to use her for breeding.  Ya Ya has been with us awhile but still isn't sure about being handled yet.  She will either follow the other dogs outside or can be picked up to be taken outside to the kennels.  She has barely started learning how to walk on a leash, so needs a fenced yard or secure potty area to work on housetraining.  She does need another dog in the home to make her feel comfortable and help her get use to life in a home. Dogs from commercial breeders are generally undersocialized (often very scared/shy/skittish) and probably never lived in a house.  They will need to learn things like how to walk on a leash, go up stairs, and what things like a television are.  They need a patient adopter who will give them the time they need to adjust and to learn to trust people.  Every baby step forward needs to be celebrated, and the dog needs to be accepted for who they are at each step.  Some dogs can adjust quickly and learn how to be a loved pet pretty easily.  Others can take a long time to even be comfortable with things like walking through the house and being in the same room as a person.  No matter how far and how fast the breeder dogs progress, they are wonderful dogs and deserve a great home after their life on the puppy farm.  A fence or at least a secure fenced in potty area is highly recommended for the dog's safety, and may be required for some dogs.  Another small dog in the house can also help many former breeders adjust faster to life in a home, and also may be required in some cases.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS November 5, 2024, 8:05 pm

Story
Clarence is a gentle, cuddly soul who thrives on love and companionship. This sweet boy loves nothing more than being held and snuggled, making him the perfect lap dog. He enjoys being outside, but don’t forget his sweater—he gets chilly easily! Treats and quality time with his people are among his favorite things, and he’s wonderfully calm, spending much of his day napping peacefully. Clarence gets along well with other dogs and is perfectly comfortable sharing space with them. While he’s not a big barker, he may let out an occasional bark if he feels lonely. An ideal home for Clarence would be with someone who’s around often or where he has a companion to keep him company. Clarence walks slowly and is building strength in his legs, improving every day. When he came into rescue, he was terribly matted, but despite his rough start, Clarence has the biggest heart and asks for so little—just love and a cozy spot to rest. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly companion, Clarence is your guy! Fill out an adoption application to schedule your own private meet and greet with this furry friend. Story
Tommy is easy to fall in love with and is a very sweet and happy boy. Despite having a rough go at life, Tommy is always wagging his tail and wanting to be loved. With that, Tommy does like his boundaries to be respected at times, but he is a very vocal boy - so he will let you know when he needs space. Tommy does suffer from a heart condition and bad allergies which are managed through twice a day medication and a monthly shot. In addition to that, he has almost no teeth! The ones he does have will be taken out as soon as he is cleared for surgery...but because of this, Tommy is on an all fresh/wet food diet. Tommy is house trained and does well being left alone for several hours. He loves to go outside, sniff and is slowing learning how to play with toys. He is obsessed with food and can sometimes be possessive of his meals (only with other animals it seems). Tommy has big emotions which means he gets very excited and can be stubborn. He is a bit of a barker so he would make the perfect guard dog, but he has been learning to manage this with training at his foster. His ideal home would be someone who is home more often than not and who can care and provide for his health conditions. He also is pet friendly and would do better in a house with another companion. Tommy is a very special and loving boy who is looking for a home that will cherish him and give him endless pets because he is deserving of the best!
