Story
Meet Owen!Owen is a 1.5-year-old, 40 lb Standard Poodle with a heart full of love and a spirit ready to embrace his new life. Purchased from a breeder, Owen spent his entire life outside, neglected and isolated. Now, he’s finally learning what it means to be part of a family.Despite his rough start, Owen is sweet-natured and eager to please. He’s doing well with house training but is still unsure about the crate, as he was previously kept in a kennel. He gets along great with other dogs but is a bit nervous around cats. Full of youthful energy, he loves to run, play, and explore—but his favorite thing is snuggling up next to his people. Wherever you go, Owen is sure to follow, soaking in the love and attention he never had before.Owen is still learning to trust and be loved, but with patience and kindness, he will blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion he was always meant to be. Could you be the one to give Owen the forever home he deserves?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Meet Griffin, a sweet 9-year-old pup with a heart of gold and a nose for adventure. Despite being almost completely blind, Griffin navigates the world with remarkable confidence and grace—proof of just how clever and adaptable he truly is. Griffin is a loyal and gentle soul who’s always been a “good boy” through and through. His playful nature shines when he’s in the mood for fun, but he also knows the value of a good nap (and at his age, he’s earned those long snoozes!). One of his favorite activities is heading outside for sniffy walks—10 to 15 minutes of exploring the world through his incredible sense of smell. Originally part of a Seniors for Seniors program, Griffin lived with a loving mama who, unfortunately, can no longer care for him. Now he’s looking for a new forever home where he can share his loyal heart and gentle spirit. Smart, funny, and full of love, Griffin promises to be the perfect companion for anyone who appreciates life’s simple joys.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Meet Liam! This handsome 2–3-year-old, 62-pound doodle mix was found wandering stray, and despite our best efforts, no owner came forward. In fact, the only clue to his past was a post about him wandering as far back as December.Liam is an incredibly smart boy who listens well and already knows sit, shake, lay down, and come. He also seems to be house-trained, making him an easy addition to any home. He’s great with other dogs and loves kids, making him a wonderful family companion. With his intelligence and eagerness to please, Liam would thrive in a loving home that can provide him with companionship, structure, and plenty of affection. Could he be your perfect match? We’re hoping to get him groomed next week!Liam is an Ambassadog, which means his higher adoption fee will go toward the dental and senior bloodwork of one of the older dogs we just took in.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Hi! I’m Sheila, I'm 8 years old and done being a mama! I’m enjoying my new life in Minnesota learning to play and looking forward to retiring on a couch, eating treats, playing with my toys, and snuggling up with my people. I’ve been spending my days dancing around my foster home trying out ALL the toys and ALL the beds, sniffing ALL the smells in the backyard, and taking naps both inside and out. Things I’ve learned I love are attention, treats, attention, toys (especially squeaky ones), attention, breakfast and dinner, attention, and sitting in laps. And did I mention attention? Things I’m figuring out is pottying outside (I know to go outside, but usually go inside once a day just because i want to!), which things/plants are ok to chew (hint- phone charger cords are NOT ok), and sometimes other dogs (I want ALL your attention!) I play tug and chase with the right companion but they need to be ok with me being the boss. Things I’m not a fan of are storms and loud noises, strangers, and the super cold weather. I don’t know or care what cats are- boring! I’m poodly smart with a big personality and would love to learn more games and might benefit from working with a trainer to help me learn to share if I end up living with other dogs. I can get a little jealous and bossy!  I will let you know if it sounds like anyone is coming home so living in a place with shared walls won't work for me as all those noises make me anxious and our neighbors won't like me letting them all know!  I will also answer if I hear other dogs calling me, ignoring them would be rude! I don't really like the leash but love to go outside in my fenced in yard to go potty, so I will definitely need a fence!  Zoomies in the yard or chasing my people are enough exercise for me. What I want most in life is to snuggle my BFF and eat treats. Can you be that BFF? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dental, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $350.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:33 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $450 plus taxMeet Atom, a young, shy, and incredibly curious canine. His gentle spirit can be a bit reserved at first, especially around men. But with a little patience and a lot of love, he will slowly let his guard down. He's the type of dog who will take time to sniff out the world around him, exploring every nook and cranny with a cautious curiosity. He's not the type to rush into anything, preferring to take his time to understand his surroundings. But once he's comfortable, he's all in, ready to give his full loyalty and love. This makes Atom the perfect companion for someone who appreciates the slow bloom of trust and companionship. If you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks.       Our Adoption fees for all animals cover required vetting: which includes, Rabies, Distemper Vaccine Series, Bordetella, Deworming, Heartworm Test as age appropriate, Spay or Neuter and Microchip and registration. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Flurry - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Looking for a new FBF (furry best friend)? Look no further than Flurry (hey, hey, that's me!) and I'm here looking to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I was pretty scared at first at my foster home but it didn't take very long at all to come around and show my true loving, sweet and playful nature so I'm now ready to start on this new chapter of my life with lots of hugs, puppy kisses and playtime with my new family!!! I'm probably around 6 months old and I come in at about 15lbs. I'm not big enough to be a snowflake, I'm just a wittle flurry but I do love playing and am energetic, ready to share in all your adventures from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting!! I'm good with people, other pups and even the resident kitty. I am working on my house training and do really well with knowing to go outside to potty with only an occasional accident. I've got a beautiful coat that is super easy in the maintenance department, kind of a wash-n-go type of fella. You do know what that means, don't ya? Yep yep, more time for the spoil me rotten department!! I am sooooo ready to find me a family and be that lil heartbeat at your feet or preferably on your lap, so if you think I'd be a pawsome fit for your home, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application! It can be found at haydudeequine.org
