PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - BENTLEY BREED - Miniature Poodle SIZE - About 12 pounds AGE - 15 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Bentley is a lovely fellow who came to us from our favorite WV shelter partner with his buddy, Desmond, after their owner passed away. At 15 years of age, the kennel environment is not where we want these boys to spend time. Desmond is completely blind and has a lovely foster home. Bentley can see in one eye, and likely has very limited vision in the other due to cataracts. He also has no teeth, so a soft diet is required. Bentley scarfs down his food and loves life. Super sweet, Bentley loves all people, but he is a resource guarder and goes after other dogs when food is involved. Given that he has no teeth, he cannot harm them physically but he does stress them. Fully grown at just 12 pounds, Bentley is a perfect size for a companion. He is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with Bentley. At his age, we want him to have all the attention he can handle for his golden years! A home without larger pets or small children, and with a fenced, secure yard will give Bentley room to run and play safely. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Bentley as well as our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Bentley at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.

PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - GIGI BREED - Miniature Poodle SIZE - About 10 pounds AGE - 1+ year GENDER - Female MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Gigi is a beautiful, happy little girl who came to us recently when her owner became quite ill and could no longer care for her. The owner purchased Gigi from a breeder when she was just six weeks old in June of 2023. Gigi's breeding information states that she is a toy poodle, but with one blue eye and one green eye and the merle coat, she appears to be a mini aussiedoodle to us! This doll baby will steal your heart! She is in good health, up to date with vaccines and heart worm testing, plus spayed and microchipped. She is pee pad trained and loves to be right beside her human soaking up all the attention they can spare! Gigi is good with children and other small dogs, and is used to a quiet, predictable home. We are seeking a home with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with her. A home without larger pets or small children, and with a fenced, secure yard will be required. She will make a wonderful companion! Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - MURPHY BREED - Miniature Poodle SIZE - About 20 pounds AGE - 10+ years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Murphy is a wonderful little dog seeking the companionship of a loving adopter. Originally adopted from our rescue in 2021, Murphy has come back to us after his adopter passed away. He is very sad and wants to be a part of a loving home. By nature Murphy is a quiet and clean little fellow. He is partial to females but connects well to males of his choice. He would be happy beside his special person enjoying a quiet life. Murphy is a good bit overweight now and we are working to bring his weight down. Doing so will allow him to be more active and maintain his health. He has visited our vet and there are no concerns. Murphy is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He tested negative for heart worms and is on prevention. We are seeking a home with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with him. A home without larger pets or small children, and with a fenced, secure yard will be in Murphy's best interest. He will make a wonderful companion for a senior person who is able to care for him independently. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Murphy and our adoption criteria. Story
My name is Winston and I am a 6-year-old male poodle mix that is only 12 to 14 lb of pure love. My family has had a sudden and tragic break up and my mom had to go live with her sister and I could not come with her. She had big dogs that might hurt me and Critter Cavalry has helped me and her by offering to find me a good home. I have lived with young children and I love them. I am good with other dogs as long as they don't try to overpower me and scare me. I love to go for car rides and I love to sit in your lap and have you tell me how much you love me. I am a little nervous right now because I don't know what is going on with all the anger that has been around me. I am ready for a peaceful and loving family to adopt me. I am housebroken and I have been good around the foster mom's other big dogs and cats. Everyone has been so nice to me and I'm ready to be nice and loving back in a new home. I walk great on a leash except I do pull a little bit. You see, my former mom didn't take me for walks very much but I sure hope someone will do that in the future when I go live with them. I am ready for a fresh start where there's no angry voices but only kindness. Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com I am in Nashville Tennessee and I can transport to many different places in the Northeast. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 19, 2024, 4:27 pm

Story
My name is Charo and I am a senior girl poodle that is 12-13  years old and I weigh approximately 16 lb. My beloved senior mom is very ill and she is having to give up her precious little girls and Critter Cavalry Rescue is helping us find new homes.  As you can see in these pictures that were just made, I'm a little scared and really don't know what has just happened in my life. Critter Cavalry is reassuring me every minute of the day, that they will do great things for me. They have promised that they find me a wonderful family or person to love me for many years to come. I may be a senior, but I don't act like it. I don't have an ounce of arthritis and I am perky and spunky and would love to go for walks with you every day and snuggle with you. I haven't been on a leash a whole lot, but I know I would love getting out and seeing the world from the sidewalk with a new mom. I am healthy and I am spayed and I am microchipped and I have had blood work done. I look terrific on paper and I look even better in person. I am good with other dogs and cats and I'm a little shy with people at first but I haven't really gotten out a lot in my life. I've just been with my mom and my sisters. Do you have a place in your heart and home that I can come and live for many years? Just write to Critter Cavalry at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   they transport every weekend from Tennessee to the Northeast and I would be easy for you to adopt and then pick up from their transport van. The ride is very nice. I hope to hear from you   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 16, 2024, 7:24 am

Story
This beautiful little girl is a white poodle who's senior mom has fallen very very ill and can no longer take care of her and the other dogs in her home. Cremona is a 9 to 10 lb poodle girl that is 13 to 14 years of age and in excellent health. She was just taken in by our rescue and we are learning what an amazingly sweet little girl she is. Cremona is quiet, crate trained, and a little lap girl that loves you fiercely.  Of course right now she is very shy and scared.  She has lived with other dogs of all sizes is fine with all.   Cats are her Friends as well. She seems to be housebroken and even though she has very few teeth, she has an excellent appetite and probably could add a few healthy pounds to her body. We are looking for a home that will treat this senior girl with all the best that life can give. She has many more years to live happily as a bad snuggler and companion. We have done blood work on her and all has appeared to be exceptionaly good in results. If you are interested in our charming little Cremona,  please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 13, 2024, 9:22 pm
