Story
Meet Knox Knox is a 3-year-old male Mini Goldendoodle mix weighing approximately 28 lbs who is ready to find his forever home. He was found near FM 1141 and John King on 04/04/26 and, sadly, was never reclaimed. This sweet boy is friendly, playful, and full of personality. Knox has a clever, silly nature that makes him a joy to be around, and he would thrive with a family looking for a fun and affectionate companion. He walks okay on leash and is still learning, so continued guidance and consistency will help him shine. Knox may do well with children, but his compatibility with cats is unknown. If there are other dogs in the home, a meet and greet is strongly recommended as we are still learning how he interacts with other pets. His adoption fee is $125 and includes neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination, current basic boosters, and he is heartworm negative. All meet and greets and adoptions require an approved online application. If you're interested in giving Knox the loving home he deserves, please apply here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved applicants in the order applications are received.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. April 8, 2026, 6:50 pm

Story
Jack has been in a great home with a loving couple for 10 years. Now, the couple is moving out of the country and Jack cannot go. They are very sad. They have loved and cared for Jack superbly. He is a happy dog and it will be difficult to leave him. Jack is a sweet, calm, and loving senior (about 12.5 years old) who’s happiest being your loyal little shadow—and, yes, your lap dog. He tends to bond closely with people in the home and will happily follow them through the day, while still getting along well with other small dogs. Jack is low-maintenance, quiet (not much of a barker), and doesn’t demand constant attention—just steady companionship. He’s neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has been on consistent flea/tick/heartworm prevention. He doesn’t shed, but he does need regular combing and grooming to keep his soft coat in great shape. He enjoys easy neighborhood walks and the chance to trot around in open spaces, knows basic commands (sit, stay, stop, etc.), and after a recent dental cleaning with a few teeth removed, he’s recovered beautifully—he simply prefers smaller bites now. An Application and Home Visit are required. Please note: we will not go beyond our 50-mile adoption radius! So 50 miles from Wylie. We are very adamant about this. Please consider Jack for a great addition to your family.

Story
Meet Pops, a 4 year-old schnoodle with a big personality! He has had professional training to help him to be more confident when meeting new people. Like most schnauzers, he does bark quite a bit. His new home needs to continue to build his confidence so he does not anxiously bark when in new situations. Pops needs a home without young children- the noise and chaos is more then he can handle. He would thrive in a calmer home environment where not much changes. He does great with a consistent routine and clear boundaries. Pops has come a long way from the stormy day he was found in terrible condition, with badly matted fur and sores hidden underneath. After some much-needed grooming and care, Pops is now fully healed and healthy. He's ready for a loving family to spoil him the way he deserves! Story
Pictures will be posted when we have them.  This sweet doodle came to us as a breeder release, which means life as a family pet is all brand new to them. They are still learning about the world outside of a kennel setting and will need a patient, understanding home that is willing to give them time to adjust and build confidence at their own pace. They do best with routine, gentle guidance, and positive reinforcement. While initially shy or unsure in new situations, their personality continues to shine more each day. Many breeder-release dogs thrive in homes with another friendly, confident dog to help show them the ropes. He is crate trained, does well with other dogs, but is not comfident with leash skills. They are not a “plug-and-play” dog and will need time to decompress, but with consistency and love, they become incredibly loyal and affectionate companions. Adopters should understand that adjustment can take several weeks or longer, and moments of insecurity or hesitation are normal during this transition. The reward is watching a dog learn what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family.
