Meet Kodi — proof that age is just a number. At 12 years old and just 6.5 pounds, Kodi is the kind of loyal, low-maintenance companion dreams are made of. He’s house-trained (even in the rain!), sleeps quietly through the night in his crate, and quickly mastered the doggie door like the smart little guy he is. Kodi loves nothing more than being near you—happily curled up at your side or trotting along on a walk, just glad to be included. He is gentle, calm, and full of life, with so much love left to give. He eats only canned food due to his lack of teeth and his age. Kodi didn’t deserve to be surrendered to a shelter by his owner but now he’s ready to be someone’s whole world. Maybe yours? We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Found as a stray before a big freeze, sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s now thriving in foster care where sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s shown just how gentle and affectionate she is. Agnes gets along well with cats and other dogs, is potty trained, and loves being close to her people, whether sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s following you around the house or curled up on the couch for snuggles. She enjoys backyard strolls, tasty treats, and quiet companionship. Story
Sweet Lucci came from a local shelter where she was on the EU list. She came in to the shelter boldly matted and they shaved her harshly. She has zero hair and cut so close that her skin is red and inflamed and some places bloody. She is with a wonderful foster and getting lots of love and attention, which she probably didn't get lots of that at her previous home. She will be beautiful when her hair grows back and she gains some weight as she is super skinny. More to come on this baby as we get to know her. More pictures to come as well when her hair grows a bit. She is about 3 years old and weighs 8 to 9 lbs. ##2684784##

Banks started life as a very high anxiety puppy. He is on medication to help with anxiety but it will likely always be an issue. He has had professional training. He does not like my husband and is not able to coexist with him. He is high energy. He would do best with a home that has a backyard and a person that works from home or is home more than not. No kids. He barks a lot so apartments or shared living spaces would likely not work with him. Other dogs are a maybe.
