Story
Meet Waller, a 10-year-old poodle mix weighing 17 pounds. Despite his initial shyness with strangers, Waller has a desire to be loved. Occasionally exhibiting snappiness due to strong boundaries and fear, becauses of this Waller may always need sedated grooms. This sweet pup can blossom with the right approach. With yummy treats, brief pet sessions, and ample patience, Waller is likely to come out of his shell in the perfect home. Waller is potty trained, walks well on the leash, and is great for car rides; he loves looking out the window at everything passing by. Waller is also dog friendly and cat friendly. Although Waller does like to keep his own space and stay distant from other dogs. Given his fear and reactivity, Waller would thrive best in an adult-only home with experienced caregivers familiar with the needs of fearful dogs. Ready to provide the love and understanding Waller deserves? He's waiting for his perfect match. His adoption fee is waived to the right home. Story
A truly remarkable & resilient stray off the streets this girl has been through it. She is blind and came to us completely matted, skinny, with horrible skin, and masses in her mammary chain. After getting her healthy enough for surgery & all vetting completed, she is now ready for her forever hm. She is around 10 yrs of age, loves being w her people and her pack. She is cat friendly, dog friendly w all my small dogs. She has cataracts but they don't phase her. I live in a 2024 sqft hm and she has learned my house quickly. She hangs w us in the living room, goes out to potty when the others do & follows us all to bed and gets in her doggy bed and sleeps nearby. Potty trained, she might have an accident every now and then but she has caught on quickly. I do not have children so I am not sure how she would be w them. She is very playful and happy. A very sweet tempered and loyal dog. She will make someone a very wonderful companion. I will miss her so much when she is gone. It's a privilege & honor to be her foster mom. Adoption fee $150 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. Story
If you are looking for a sweet, gentle girl with plenty of energy but also calm and snuggly, then look no further. That description fits Sandy Rosie to a “T”. This sweet girl has had a rough last couple of years if not her entire life. We only know what has happened to her since she was turned in as a stray to Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) in August of 2023. She was rescued in quite bad shape but CAP took care of most of her needs (bad skin, tumor, ear infection and dry eye) at that time and then found a home for her. Sadly, those adopters did not continue her care (eyes and ears and minimal grooming if any) as she came back in rougher shape when they turned her in due to supposedly moving to a place where they could not have a dog. Based on this experience, CAP determined she was not adoptable and reached out to CAMO to see if we could take her, or she was going to be euthanized. We are glad they reached out to us as Sandy Rosie is one sweet girl at 14.5 pounds and a young senior (6-8 years old?) While she has a deformed front left leg with no toes (probably genetic), one of her favorite activities is her daily walk. She also plays with the other dogs in her foster home as well as with toys. She loves to snuggle with her human. She has been friendly with everyone she has met since being in her foster home. She will need an adopter who will continue her twice daily cyclosporine eye drops for dry eye and will monitor her ears for infection. The canals are quite narrow due to having had so many infections. But she is the best patient so this minor care is quite easy to administer. And her weight will need to be watched as she does love food but being overweight will not be good for her leg. She is house trained (though will use a pee pad if her foster mother fails to notice her standing by the door to go out), crate trained, heartworm negative, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, spayed and has had a dental. If you can provide a loving, caring forever home for Sandy Rosie, please complete an adoption application at www.camorescue.com. You will not regret it. Adoption fee is: $300 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. Story
Beatrice is approx a 6-7 year old poodle mix that weighs 13lbs. Beatrice is a little shy and is still learning trust but with time, and patience you will win her trust. She's looking for someone who can be patient and consistent, giving her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable. Its important to go slow and let her come out of her shell on her own terms. Once that happens she’s very loving, sweet and appreciative. Loves to lay on the couch snuggled very close, gently persistent in asking for attention.. Loves other dogs her size. She will need another dog her size in her new home. She is potty trained and is working on her leash training. She loves to run and explore in the backyard. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm & fecal neg and had a dental. Adoption fee is: $550.00 NO small children under 12, NO big dogs, NO swimming pools unless completely fenced off, and NO doggie door due to her size. Beatrice is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, fecal and Heartworm negative ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
