 She is a beautiful solid Black German Shepherd and Poodle mix, almost 2 years old, up to date on all shots and has been fixed. She has high energy and loves all people, has never been aggressive but will lick you all over. She has been an outdoor farm dog since we got her in Jan. 2023 and loves to run around and play. Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Pleae complete the adoption (or foster) application here: https://www.russellrescuetn.com/application-for-adoption/You will be contacted if further information is needed.  We are 100% volunteer powered. Volunteers process the applications and need time above their personal needs and full-time jobs to process the apps.Please have patience. We do not have any paid staff members. Our adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. Story
Kingston (Boswell/Bozzy) is a 3 yr old male mini poodle. He came from a tough situation and is still learning how to be a dog and make friends with people. He’s very sweet and house-trained. He gets along with our friendly cats and dogs. Since he startles easily, a quiet home would be best. He prefers women and will run or hide when men are around. We are working on this and general socialization, so he needs a patient adopter. He can be hard to catch so a fenced yard would be ideal. He is cute and small which makes him seem cuddly, but he prefers to just sit next to or near you.Kingston was one of several dogs who were rescued from a breeder and brought to us. He has known no other life than being bred. We are getting all of his vetting done and hoping to get him  in a foster so he  can know what life should be like! Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made.The application is the first step.
