Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 12/18/24 Polar is an adorable little poodle mix who was found running the streets along with his friend, Scotch. Polar's coat was so matted, we couldn't even find his skin to vaccinate him. We had him groomed and we were pleasantly surprised to see how cute he is! Polar is a small guy, about 18 lbs. We are unsure of his exact breed but feel pretty sure he is some sort of 'doodle.' He is a young guy, maybe a year old. He is great with everyone- adults, kids, cats, and dogs. He's a friendly, outgoing guy who just needs a home of his own. Polar is not house trained. He has a habit of marking in the house. We feel like this will be easier to correct when he is in a home of his own, where he can get more one on one training and direction. He is currently in a foster home with a lot of other dogs, so some of the marking is probably due to competing with the other dogs. He is young and was just neutered this week, so we are confident he will learn. Other than his marking behavior, he's an excellent little boy who just needs a good home! He is fully vetted and heartworm negative! Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. Story
Brother to Fido and Zac. Surrendered by a breeder, I find myself unsure of people, yet longing to be loved.  I’m Reno, a 1 yr old PURE BREED MINI POODLE Boy, weighing about 20 #, who is uncertain of the outside world. Having lived most of my first year with little human socialization, I’m shy, timid, reserved and skittish to people and situations. ( NOT Aggressive ). On the “FLIP SIDE” I LOVE other dogs, am gentle, good natured and playful! My fear CAN BE CORRECTED with your love, understanding and time. Poodles are known to be very intelligent. I’m no acceptation. Do you know what else is GREAT about us poodles? You guessed it. We are HYPER ALLERGENIC. Although I’m smart, I have no idea what HYPER ALLERGENIC means, but guess it’s a good thing to be! Living in a kennel environment at my rescue, I still have a few things to learn about being a dog, but with your help, I’m sure this won’t take long. Just having consistent care givers I’m already learning to give and take love here. Being VERY DOG FRIENDLY, another dog would be best in my new home, but not required. Sorry, no kids due to my skittishness, for my safety. NO issues with aggression, just safety.  I do require a 4 ft fenced yard due to my fear, shyness just for my safety as well. So, what ya think? Do you want to take a “GAMBLE”, “Roll the Dice”, and “HIT the JACKPOT”! I’m “Betting” RENO won’t last long! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 9:38 pm
