Hey there! I'm Darby. I bet you can't guess what kind of dog I am... go ahead and give it a try.... I am 4 a year old female English Bulldog/ Poodle! I came to Zoe's House from a commercial breeder where I was bred for my puppies. This was my whole life. I was a very scared when I came to my foster home. I wasn't used to kindness but the lady there was so nice and nurturing that I started coming out of my shell. I have come to enjoy being petted and am excited when the lady comes home. I wag my tail and wiggle until she comes over and pets me. I even give her kisses. I am looking for my forever home. I sleep in my crate. I know to go to it for dinner time and bedtime. I'm doing good with housebreaking. I sometimes have an accident but I am working hard on this. I need someone who will be patient with me as I continue to grow and overcome my past. I don't play much but like laying on the sofa. I get along with the other dogs in my foster and I am learning from them that life can be good. I am up to date on vaccines and spayed already. I am crate trained and don't have accidents in my crate. I I require a home with another calm dog please. I am not sure about young kids. I don't like loud noise or sudden movements because they startle me and make me scared. Older kids 13 and older who can respect that I need patience would be really good for me. A small fenced yard is best since I don't walk on a leash yet. I'm being fostered in Schuylkill County so any potential adopters will have to travel to meet him. Surrendered by a commercial breeder, Natasha-affectionately called "Tasha" by her foster mom-spends a lot of time sitting quietly with her person. Though she is still wary of people and needs time to warm up, her gentle nature shines through once she feels safe. Natasha does have a bit of separation anxiety, not when her person leaves, but when they are in the house and she can't see them. You will never again go to the bathroom alone! Natasha enjoys the company of her foster dog siblings but would thrive either as the only dog or with one other calm canine companion to help her continue to learn how to be a dog. She's potty trained, responds well when called, and enjoys running in a fenced yard. Remember, regression is common in breeder dogs until they get comfortable in their surroundings. Meet Loki, a 6-year-old poodle mix who was surrendered to PK when his prior owner was no longer able to care for him. Loki weighs around 19 lbs. When he arrived, his hair was overgrown and matted. We have since shaved him and he’s much happier now! As a middle-aged dog, Loki is past all young dog behaviors—he’s potty-trained and can be trusted to roam free at home alone without getting into trouble. He really enjoys going on walks! Loki has exhibited sensitivity to handling at the shelter. Of course, he is in a stressful setting with strangers, so this may go away once in a loving home where he feels safe and trusts his human(s). Loki doesn’t have prior experience with other dogs, and we think he’d probably do best as an only dog. He can be cat-tested upon request. My name is Winston and I am a 6-year-old male poodle mix that is only 12 to 14 lb of pure love. My family has had a sudden and tragic break up and my mom had to go live with her sister and I could not come with her. She had big dogs that might hurt me and Critter Cavalry has helped me and her by offering to find me a good home. I have lived with young children and I love them. I am good with other dogs as long as they don't try to overpower me and scare me. I love to go for car rides and I love to sit in your lap and have you tell me how much you love me. I am a little nervous right now because I don't know what is going on with all the anger that has been around me. I am ready for a peaceful and loving family to adopt me. I am housebroken and I have been good around the foster mom's other big dogs and cats. Everyone has been so nice to me and I'm ready to be nice and loving back in a new home. I walk great on a leash except I do pull a little bit. You see, my former mom didn't take me for walks very much but I sure hope someone will do that in the future when I go live with them.
