Story
Hey there! I'm Darby. I bet you can't guess what kind of dog I am... go ahead and give it a try.... I am 4 a year old female English Bulldog/ Poodle! I came to Zoe's House from a commercial breeder where I was bred for my puppies. This was my whole life. I was a very scared when I came to my foster home. I wasn't used to kindness but the lady there was so nice and nurturing that I started coming out of my shell. I have come to enjoy being petted and am excited when the lady comes home. I wag my tail and wiggle until she comes over and pets me. I even give her kisses. I am looking for my forever home. I sleep in my crate. I know to go to it for dinner time and bedtime. I'm doing good with housebreaking. I sometimes have an accident but I am working hard on this. I need someone who will be patient with me as I continue to grow and overcome my past. I don't play much but like laying on the sofa. I get along with the other dogs in my foster and I am learning from them that life can be good. I am up to date on vaccines and spayed already. I am crate trained and don't have accidents in my crate. I I require a home with another calm dog please. I am not sure about young kids. I don't like loud noise or sudden movements because they startle me and make me scared. Older kids 13 and older who can respect that I need patience would be really good for me. A small fenced yard is best since I don't walk on a leash yet. I'm being fostered in Schuylkill County so any potential adopters will have to travel to meet him. If you think that you can give Darby the love and patience that she needs to continue growing, please apply at https://www.zoeshouserescue.com/adopt. Zoe's House Kennel #9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608

Story
Meet Natasha, a beautiful 5-year-old merle miniature poodle with a shy but sweet personality. Surrendered by a commercial breeder, Natasha-affectionately called "Tasha" by her foster mom-spends a lot of time sitting quietly with her person. Though she is still wary of people and needs time to warm up, her gentle nature shines through once she feels safe. Natasha does have a bit of separation anxiety, not when her person leaves, but when they are in the house and she can't see them. You will never again go to the bathroom alone! Natasha enjoys the company of her foster dog siblings but would thrive either as the only dog or with one other calm canine companion to help her continue to learn how to be a dog. She's potty trained, responds well when called, and enjoys running in a fenced yard. Remember, regression is common in breeder dogs until they get comfortable in their surroundings. Tasha has been spayed, had a dental cleaning, and is up to date on her vaccines. If you have the patience and love to give this gentle girl the time she needs to trust, Natasha will be a loyal and loving companion. Kennel 9117 Sinking Spring, PA

Story
Meet Allie!! Allie is a five year old mini golden doodle! She is the sweetest dog you will ever meet and has a heart of gold. Allie was surrendered from a commercial breeder and is adjusting to life in a home very well. She is working to be crate trained & is house broken. Allie loves going on walks. Her leash manners improve every day. She loves spending time on the couch, and enjoys to cuddle. Allie is always seeking a window or door with a view to the outside. She loves watching birds, squirrels & anyone walking by. She, herself, loves to spend time outside, too! Allie LOVES other dogs!! Every time she sees another dog she is so excited and gives many happy tail wags & happy, perky ears. She is also good with cats. Allie craves attention and positive praise. She will require a fenced in yard due to not (yet) being comfortable to go to the bathroom on leash. Allie is spayed and UTD on all vaccines. Allie will require routine grooming to maintain her beautiful coat. Apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com! Zoe's House Kennel License #9117 PO Box 2372 Reading, PA 19608

Story
"What's up, everybody! I am Marie and I'm here for the party! I am a lot of fun in a little package! I'm travel sized for your convenience, so we can go wherever, whenever! I'm always down for an adventure. I am good on a leash and I love to go for trail walks! My breed is unknown. My foster mom thinks I am a poodle mix. I am about 2-3 years old. I'm about 15 pounds - perfect size! When I am not busy being the class clown, I am a pro snuggler. I like to curl right up with my foster mom whenever she relaxes on the couch, and I make myself right at home in her bed at every opportunity. I do love to have fun, but I am past the crazy puppy stage. A good romp in the yard or a walk around the block will satisfy my need for speed. I love other dogs! I'm currently fostered with dogs of all sizes and personality types and I get along with everyone, even my grouchy elderly foster sister! I'd also love to be an only dog too! More attention, all for me! I am crate trained, and mostly quiet in my crate. I do bark if I hear something outside, and from excitement when my foster family comes home! My foster mom plays a radio when she is away, so I do not hear so much noise from outside, and that helps me a lot. I consider myself housebroken, but it is normal to have a few accidents in a new environment while I adjust to the new routine. I am spayed, up to date on shots, tested negative for heartworm, up to date on monthly parasite preventatives, and recently had a dental cleaning. I can't wait to meet you!" Marie is being fostered in Southern Lancaster County and interested adopters must come to her foster home twice. The first visit is a meet and greet with all the members of the household including existing dogs in the home. The second visit is to take her home. Go online to www.zoeshouserescue.com and complete an adoption application! We do not always receive applications submitted through adoptapet or petfinder.
