Story
My name is Winston and I am a 6-year-old male poodle mix that is only 12 to 14 lb of pure love. My family has had a sudden and tragic break up and my mom had to go live with her sister and I could not come with her. She had big dogs that might hurt me and Critter Cavalry has helped me and her by offering to find me a good home. I have lived with young children and I love them. I am good with other dogs as long as they don't try to overpower me and scare me. I love to go for car rides and I love to sit in your lap and have you tell me how much you love me. I am a little nervous right now because I don't know what is going on with all the anger that has been around me. I am ready for a peaceful and loving family to adopt me. I am housebroken and I have been good around the foster mom's other big dogs and cats. Everyone has been so nice to me and I'm ready to be nice and loving back in a new home. I walk great on a leash except I do pull a little bit. You see, my former mom didn't take me for walks very much but I sure hope someone will do that in the future when I go live with them. I am ready for a fresh start where there's no angry voices but only kindness. Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com I am in Nashville Tennessee and I can transport to many different places in the Northeast. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 14, 2024, 10:09 pm

Story
My name is Charo and I am a senior girl poodle that is 12-13  years old and I weigh approximately 16 lb. My beloved senior mom is very ill and she is having to give up her precious little girls and Critter Cavalry Rescue is helping us find new homes.  As you can see in these pictures that were just made, I'm a little scared and really don't know what has just happened in my life. Critter Cavalry is reassuring me every minute of the day, that they will do great things for me. They have promised that they find me a wonderful family or person to love me for many years to come. I may be a senior, but I don't act like it. I don't have an ounce of arthritis and I am perky and spunky and would love to go for walks with you every day and snuggle with you. I haven't been on a leash a whole lot, but I know I would love getting out and seeing the world from the sidewalk with a new mom. I am healthy and I am spayed and I am microchipped and I have had blood work done. I look terrific on paper and I look even better in person. I am good with other dogs and cats and I'm a little shy with people at first but I haven't really gotten out a lot in my life. I've just been with my mom and my sisters. Do you have a place in your heart and home that I can come and live for many years? Just write to Critter Cavalry at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   they transport every weekend from Tennessee to the Northeast and I would be easy for you to adopt and then pick up from their transport van. The ride is very nice. I hope to hear from you   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 16, 2024, 7:24 am

Story
This beautiful little girl is a white poodle who's senior mom has fallen very very ill and can no longer take care of her and the other dogs in her home. Cremona is a 9 to 10 lb poodle girl that is 13 to 14 years of age and in excellent health. She was just taken in by our rescue and we are learning what an amazingly sweet little girl she is. Cremona is quiet, crate trained, and a little lap girl that loves you fiercely.  Of course right now she is very shy and scared.  She has lived with other dogs of all sizes is fine with all.   Cats are her Friends as well. She seems to be housebroken and even though she has very few teeth, she has an excellent appetite and probably could add a few healthy pounds to her body. We are looking for a home that will treat this senior girl with all the best that life can give. She has many more years to live happily as a bad snuggler and companion. We have done blood work on her and all has appeared to be exceptionaly good in results. If you are interested in our charming little Cremona,  please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 13, 2024, 9:22 pm

Story
Meet Loki, a 6-year-old poodle mix who was surrendered to PK when his prior owner was no longer able to care for him. Loki weighs around 19 lbs. When he arrived, his hair was overgrown and matted. We have since shaved him and he’s much happier now! As a middle-aged dog, Loki is past all young dog behaviors—he’s potty-trained and can be trusted to roam free at home alone without getting into trouble. He really enjoys going on walks! Loki has exhibited sensitivity to handling at the shelter. Of course, he is in a stressful setting with strangers, so this may go away once in a loving home where he feels safe and trusts his human(s). Loki doesn’t have prior experience with other dogs, and we think he’d probably do best as an only dog. He can be cat-tested upon request. Given Loki’s sensitivity to handling, he must go to an adult-only home. Loki is ready for his next chapter and is in search of a patient owner who understands his sensitivities. Apply for Loki at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
Meet Bunny. She is a miniature poodle that came to us from a commercial breeder. She is about 7 years old and weighs about 17 lbs. Bunny is on the more scared side, like a typical puppy mill dog. She is making some progress in her foster home. Bunny will do best in a home with another friendly small dog and a fenced in yard.  Bunny will need work on housebreaking. She has now been spayed and had a dental cleaning. Bunny is up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
This is Jordan!  His date of birth is  7/4/2024 and he is  a mini golden doodle. He came to us from a breeder because he had a birth defect that made him look like both a boy and a girl. After seeing our vet and having an ultrasound it was confirmed he was a boy but needed surgery to fix up some of his urinary system. Jordan is a very playful pup that loves small chew toys and running around with other dogs.  He is in a foster home with a large dog, 4 kids under 8 years old and cats and chickens.  He does like to chase the cats and chickens so we are working on that but it seems mostly playful.  He is crate trained and sleeps in a crate overnight for 8 hours without issue and stays in a crate when the foster family leaves the house.  He loves a good snuggle in a lap when he is done playing.  He will need regular grooming for the rest of his life to maintain his curly coat. Jordan will always need a daily wiping/cleaning after he urinates and more frequent clipping of his belly hair to keep as much hair away from his urinary opening to keep it clean and dry. Jordan is now neutered, up to date with vaccines for his age and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450.00.If you are interested in adopting Jordan, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
adoption donation : TBD weight 19lbs and 28 lbs Age: 3 years     Julia and Jerry showed up at a house in a rural area of northern Mississippi, emaciated annd badly matted, and were turned  away. The next day they showed up at another house and their luck changed—the couple that found them brought them inside and called Wags, 501(c) three south of Tupelo. Julia and Jerry are a beautiful loving pair, most likely used for breeding Yorkie- poo puppies, and then dumped when they were no longer needed.   Today this loving and sweet pair of dogs are happy and healthy, they have been vaccinated, spayed, and neutered, groomed, and are now at a normal weight. They were both tested for heartworm and thankfully were negative.  They are extremely bonded, Jerry, the male poodle, anxiously looks for Julia, the Yorkie, whenever she is out of sight and they are never happier than when they are cuddled up together. they are gentle dogs, fine with everyone they meet and good with other dogs and cats. They just are sweet, tail wagging, affectionate  dogs who truly love each other.      Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter. They have hair-like coats that shed very little and produce low dander, making them a popular choice for those seeking hypoallergenic pets. Schnoodles are social animals that crave companionship and loyalty; they enjoy being part of the family. While they can be protective, they tend to be more vocal than aggressive, often characterized by being "all bark and no bite." Ezra, is a brown and white Schnoodle that weighs 32 lbs. He and his five littermates were born on June 19, 2022, from a backyard breeder in Ronks, Pennsylvania. This breeder is related to another backyard breeder whom we assisted earlier this year in placing three adult Doodles. Currently, the dogs are in a foster home. They were in poor condition, extremely dirty, matted, and underweight. All of them have been vaccinated, dewormed, shaved down, and bathed. Before they can be adopted into their forever homes, they will also be spayed or neutered. There are a total of three males and three females available for adoption.
