Story
Ollie and Lulu were surrendered to us when their owner no longer had the time to care for them. They both had untreated medical issues and severe dental disease, leaving them extremely uncomfortable and lethargic. After receiving treatment they became almost entirely different dogs. Ollie and Lulu may be seniors but they sure do like to go for walks and run around the yard together. They are a volunteer favourite because of their goofy and sweet dispositions. They are selective with dogs and would only do well in a home with another calm dog that does not intimidate or become rough with them. Ollie does bark at other dogs in passing, while Lulu ignores them. Ollie and Lulu would do well in just about any home. They have been great with respectful children that are experienced with dogs. Lulu can sometimes have grumpy moments when she wants her space to nap. It's important to look for the obvious signs when she needs alone time. Ollie is always happy and ready for a cuddle. This cute duo have great house manners, they frequently go on sleepovers with our dedicated volunteers who report they are always on their best behaviour. Story
Leo Breed and Age: 11 year old Cockapoo Weight: 21.4 kg (approx 45 lbs) Temperament: very sweet, quiet, gentle and kind boy. he is a Kleenex thief People: loves meeting new people both on the street in in the house. Good with older kids, younger kids untested Dogs: loves to meet other dogs, no aggression at all. Cats: been in presence of 2 cats and showed no aggression. Barking: have not heard him bark once Fears: has not shown any fear around people, dogs, buses, thunder Health: Leo has Glaucoma that requires drops daily.  His vision does not seem to be greatly impaired.  Seems to see quite well.   Leo has a Lipoma- behind his left front leg. This has been tested by vet (refer to vets notes).  This in no way inhibits his gait.  Leo has NOT displayed any stiffness in his joints and loves his walks.  Leo is a little overweight but his regular walks are helping with that   Leo is a sweet and gentle guy that is so easy to care for and a joy to have and to be around. He has not displayed any reactivity and is a "go with the flow" kinda boy.  He walks very well on leash (does like to sniff), both in town and on trail walks and loves to go in the car (and even a ride in a Tow Truck!). Leos glaucoma does not appear to have affected his eyesight to any great degree. He stands quietly while his drops are being applied and stood quietly at every vet visit for eye checks.  I have tested him on a variety of stairs with no problem going up or down, except for my own.  Will go up but not down....we are working on that one.  He loves to play fetch and search.  In closing, I can honestly say I have not one bad thing to say about Leo, except for his love of Kleenex!        April 15, 2026, 10:38 am

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Babygirl Age: Around 5 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Mini poodle Color: Brown Weight: 4.5kg / 10lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was found roaming the streets with my friend, a little white poodle. We were both scared, but we stayed close to each other and did our best to survive. No one knows exactly how we ended up there, but it’s likely we were abandoned. Even through that uncertainty, we never lost our love for people—we would follow anyone we saw, hoping for kindness and safety. After a few days, we were thankfully rescued and brought to safety. Now, I’m ready to leave that past behind and start a new chapter with a family who will never let me go.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues It appears I may have had vocal cord surgery in my past, so my bark is softer and quieter than most dogs   MY PERSONALITY Just like my name, I’m a baby girl at heart! I absolutely love people and will happily follow you around, always hoping for attention and affection. It’s clear I once had a home, and even after everything, I still trust people so deeply—it just shows how much love I have to give. I get so excited to see you that I might do a little jump to say hello! My voice is softer than most dogs, likely from a past vocal cord surgery, but that doesn’t stop me from expressing my love in every other way—through my closeness, my excitement, and my constant desire to be by your side.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I absolutely love people—everyone I meet quickly becomes my best friend! I bond very easily and naturally gravitate toward my humans, always wanting to stay close and be part of the moment. I’m also comfortable being picked up, which makes me an easy and affectionate companion to have by your side. · With Dogs: I enjoy making new dog friends and love to play once I feel comfortable. I have a friendly and social nature, but very high-energy dogs can feel a bit overwhelming for me. I do best with dogs who have a similar energy level, where we can interact and play in a calm, balanced way. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy spending time outdoors exploring and getting some fresh air, but once I’ve had my fun, I’m more than happy to rest and relax. I have a nice balance of playful energy and calm downtime.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely, making me a pleasant companion on walks. I have good manners around people and don’t guard my food, though I can be a bit sensitive if other dogs are nearby during mealtimes. I form deep bonds with my people and truly crave attention and companionship. While I don’t currently have separation anxiety, I may need some time and gentle guidance to adjust in a new home and learn to feel confident when left alone. I settle calmly in my kennel and have a good potty routine—I can use both indoor pee pads and go outside. With consistency, patience, and love, I’ll continue to grow into a secure, well-mannered, and devoted companion.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Ideally, I’d do best in a home where I’m not left alone for long periods.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a deeply people-oriented girl who forms strong, lasting bonds and thrives on companionship. I do best in a home where I won’t be left alone for long periods, as I feel most secure when I’m close to my humans. While I adjust well, I may need some gentle guidance at first to build confidence when left alone. I have lovely manners—I walk nicely on leash, settle calmly in my kennel, and have no issues with food around people. I’m adaptable with my potty routine and can use both indoor pads and go outside. With patience, consistency, and a loving environment, I’ll grow into a loyal, affectionate, and well-balanced companion who truly just wants to be by your side.   BABY GIRL'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2708510##

Story
Meet sweet, gentle Annie 💗🐾 At 10 years old, Annie lost everything she knew. The home she loved… the person she adored… the life she felt safe in. After her owner passed away, Annie was left with nowhere to go, and a shelter became her only option. But a dog who had known love her whole life deserved so much more than that. So we stepped in 💗 Now in foster care, Annie is slowly healing. She’s a quiet, low-key little girl with the softest soul. She doesn’t ask for much — just a warm place to rest, gentle affection, and someone to love. And when she feels safe? Her sweet, playful spirit starts to shine through in the most beautiful way. Annie adores people and will gently curl up beside you, happy just to be close. She’s wonderful with other dogs and has formed a precious bond with her foster sister, Lela Vila — the two often cuddled up together, finding comfort in each other. At just 15 pounds, Annie is the perfect little companion. She walks beautifully on a leash, is non-shedding, and brings a calm, loving presence wherever she goes. After losing everything, Annie is simply hoping for one thing…a second chance at love. A home where she can feel safe again. A person she can call her own. If you have room in your heart for a sweet, gentle soul like Annie, she will love you with everything she has 💕If you need an Annie in your life, please contact us 💗 📩 Email us at c4ptoronto@gmail.com
