Story
Meet WALLY, a 8-month-old, 13 lb poodle mix puppy. Wally’s heart is as big as his personality! Surrendered through no fault of his own by someone who loved him dearly but couldn’t give him the attention he requires, this sweetheart is on the lookout for his forever family. Wally is affectionate, and always ready for fun. Toys? He loves them. People? Wally never wants to be far from his favorite people—he’s a true velcro dog who loves to be included in everything. Wally also adores other dogs and would thrive with a playful furry dog sibling to keep him company. We aren’t sure how he will be with cats. Wally is still learning the ropes of housetraining but is making great progress and once he’s in a routine with strict potty breaks, he does great. Wally sleeps in his crate like a champ and is working on building confidence when left alone—right now, he prefers to have his people around often as he has some separation anxiety. Wally has a very sweet habit of sucking his ankle to fall asleep. Wally is not the biggest fan of cold weather but handles it like a trooper, even if his adorable little waddle makes it clear he’s not thrilled about it! Wally will require brushing and grooming. He doesn’t shed much (though not fully hypoallergenic). Wally is looking for a home where he’ll get plenty of love, attention, and snuggles. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion who will stick by your side and bring joy to your days, Wally might just be your perfect match! ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

Story
Hi there! My name is Hare, and I'm excited to share my story with you. While I'm not exactly sure when I was born, people think I might have come into this world around 2017. My life took a significant turn in 2024 when I was rescued from an unlicensed breeding facility in Boryeong. Since then, I've been on a heartfelt journey to find my forever home, and I'd love to tell you a bit about myself. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but I have a soft spot for treats! If you offer me a tasty snack, I'll warm up quickly and enjoy being petted. Though I haven't met many children under 13, I promise to be gentle and kind. You can even rub my belly and lift me up for some cozy cuddles! I absolutely love going for walks and have learned to walk calmly on a leash, staying right by your side. After our outdoor adventures, there's nothing I enjoy more than curling up on the couch and relaxing together. When it comes to my dog friends, I like to say hello but prefer to keep my distance-I'm not much of a player and like to avoid any drama. To be honest, not many dogs catch my attention, and I've never encountered a cat before, so I'm curious but unsure of how I'd react. Sometimes, I can feel a little anxious when left alone, so I might let you know if I'm missing you. I'm working on building my confidence and learning that it's okay to be independent. I may also speak up when I want something from you-after all, communication is key! I'm fully trained to use indoor pads and enjoy outdoor bathroom breaks. I absolutely love food, so it's best to be cautious when feeding me. I tend to be more attached to humans than other dogs, and I calm down wonderfully when I'm with you. I truly thrive on human companionship, and I know I'll be happiest by your side. If you're looking for a loving, gentle friend to share your life with, I hope you'll consider bringing me into your home. I can't wait to show you just how sweet I can be! ##2260982##

Story
Bella is another poodle mix needing a forever home. She is 3 years old, female, good with dogs, super sweet, and can be cat tested. Bella was found as a stray and upon examination by the vet, she needed surgery to remove a bladder stone. She has fully recovered and is waiting patiently for a family who won't abandon her again. A balanced raw diet is recommended to prevent future bladder stones. There is lots of moisture in the food and it's unprocessed. If interested, please email dcdgavel@gmail.com for an adoption application.

Due to the number of applications being received for each dog, we are only able to contact the applicants who have met ALL the listed Requirements***   Chelsea is bonded with Foxy 4205 and they must be adopted together. Name/Tag#:  Chelsea 4203 Age: 6 years old Sex/Altered: Female/ Spayed Weight: Just under 10 lbs. Breed: Miniature Poodle Foster Home Location: PICKERING, ON Adoption Fee:  $750.00 Temperament: Very sweet, can be a little shy at first in new situations Activity/Energy Level:  Moderate Up to date on Shots: Yes, plus dental done Housebroken: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Ok with Dogs:  Yes Ok with Cats:  Unknown Ok with Kids:  No, adult only home please Origin: Mill release Requirements:  Securely fenced yard, adult only home with previous dog experience   Meet Chelsea- a very sweet and playful poodle that is so ready to be your next best friend.  Chelsea is the total package – she has a fantastic personality, she loves to meet other dogs, she is housetrained (will use pee pads too), crate trained, and loves going out for walks.  She was introduced to snow for the first time in her life and she absolutely loves it; you would think she is part husky the way she runs through the snow.  It is so cute to see her just jump right in and frolic in the fresh snow.  She is also just as enthusiastic to curl up for cuddles on the couch beside you during downtime. Grooming is a breeze with her, she is an eager participant and just stands there while you groom her.  Because of her lack of socializing with young children, she can be a bit intimidated by them and will try to move herself away from them when they are around.  Chelsea has learned so much in her time in foster care, the more you can introduce to her the more confident she is becoming.  She is very eager to make sure she is living her life to the fullest and loves to be a part of everything that you are doing. Chelsea loves to interact with the other dogs in her foster home and will initiate play.   Chelsea is looking for a home with another playful dog in it to keep her company and an experienced adult only home with a fenced yard.  You can’t go wrong with adopting this girl! Story
Meet Mango! Mango is a resilient and loving apricot poodle who’s ready to start a new chapter in life. This sweet girl was recently rescued from a puppy mill and is now learning what it means to be loved. Despite her rough start, she has a gentle heart and a playful spirit that shines through. You should see her run! Mango thrives in the company of other dogs (especially energetic ones!) and will need a confident canine friend in her new home to help her continue building trust and confidence. A fenced backyard is a must for this energetic girl, as she loves to romp, explore, and stretch her legs in a safe space. This will be her only form of exercise, as a leash is frightening. Want to know what she is dreaming of? Snuggles on the couch with her favorite human and running in the backyard with her new fur sibling. Because of her past, certain things—like doorways—can be a little scary, so she might need you to pick her up and guide her through. As with most dogs from puppy mills, house training is still a work in progress. Your support and encouragement will be essential as she continues to learn and adapt. Mango will blossom into the loyal and affectionate companion you’ve been looking for. Ready to add some pawsitive vibes to your life? Apply today to make this sweet girl a part of your family!
