Story
Meet CHIPI – The Sweetest Gentleman! Chipi has just arrived from the sunny streets of Mexico, where he was rescued by a kind-hearted woman who dedicates her life to saving animals in need. At 10 years young, this poodle mix is proof that age is just a number! Chipi is healthy, full of life, and has a little spunk to match his gentle soul. Adjusting to Canada’s chilly winter has been a bit of a shock for Chipi—he’s not a fan of the cold (and really, who is?). But he’s already settling in beautifully with his foster dad. So far, Chipi has shown himself to be: Friendly, Sweet, and Loving – He adores cuddles and thrives on affection. Quiet and Easy-Going – The perfect lap dog who loves to relax with you. Playful – Chipi had fun with a ball, showing he’s still young at heart. Dog-Friendly – He’s great with other dogs according to the rescuer in Mexico. Since Chipi is still decompressing from his big journey, he hasn’t been out for walks just yet. But his foster dad is taking things slow, ensuring Chipi feels safe and loved as he adjusts to his new life. Chipi would make an ideal companion for a retired person or couple looking for a loyal, loving friend. He’s ready to spend his golden years in comfort and luxury, bringing so much joy and love to his future family. Are you the one to give Chipi his forever home? Apply now through Just Paws and make this sweet boy’s dreams come true! Chipi is being fostered in Scarborough. Stay tuned for updates as we get to know more about this incredible dog! ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

Story
Hi there! I’m Sonny, a male 3-year-old poodle-terrier mix with 26 pounds of pure love and sweetness! I’ve been with my foster family in the Waterloo area for a little while, and let me tell you—I’m a very good boy. I’m a cuddle bug who loves scratches and pets, and I’ll happily snuggle up beside you on the couch for some quality time. When I’m not cozied up, I like to keep an eye on the world from the window—but don’t worry, I’m a quiet observer and not much of a barker. Meal time is my favorite, and liver treats? Oh, I’m obsessed! I’m super gentle when taking treats, so I promise to be polite about it. My dream family would enjoy cozy couch cuddles and take me for a couple of nice walks each day. You’ll love watching me waddle on walks—it’s adorable, I swear! I like a little playtime and zoomies here and there, but I’m always ready for a nap afterward. I’m a “velcro dog,” which means I’ll follow you everywhere (when I’m not snoozing, of course). I’d do great in a home with another dog—especially an older, confident pup I can learn from—but I’d be just as happy being the only dog in a patient, loving family willing to help me build my confidence. Even though my hair is short now, I’ve got poodle-terrier hair, so my forever family should be willing to groom me. I can’t wait to meet you and show you just how much love I have to give. Could you be my perfect match? ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! Story
Hi there! My name is Hare, and I’m excited to share my story with you. While I’m not exactly sure when I was born, people think I might have come into this world around 2017. My life took a significant turn in 2024 when I was rescued from an unlicensed breeding facility in Boryeong. Since then, I’ve been on a heartfelt journey to find my forever home, and I’d love to tell you a bit about myself. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but I have a soft spot for treats! If you offer me a tasty snack, I’ll warm up quickly and enjoy being petted. Though I haven’t met many children under 13, I promise to be gentle and kind. You can even rub my belly and lift me up for some cozy cuddles! I absolutely love going for walks and have learned to walk calmly on a leash, staying right by your side. After our outdoor adventures, there’s nothing I enjoy more than curling up on the couch and relaxing together. When it comes to my dog friends, I like to say hello but prefer to keep my distance—I’m not much of a player and like to avoid any drama. To be honest, not many dogs catch my attention, and I’ve never encountered a cat before, so I’m curious but unsure of how I’d react. Sometimes, I can feel a little anxious when left alone, so I might let you know if I’m missing you. I’m working on building my confidence and learning that it’s okay to be independent. I may also speak up when I want something from you—after all, communication is key! I’m fully trained to use indoor pads and enjoy outdoor bathroom breaks. I absolutely love food, so it’s best to be cautious when feeding me. I tend to be more attached to humans than other dogs, and I calm down wonderfully when I’m with you. I truly thrive on human companionship, and I know I’ll be happiest by your side. If you’re looking for a loving, gentle friend to share your life with, I hope you’ll consider bringing me into your home. I can’t wait to show you just how sweet I can be!

Story
Gabriel was found as a stray in Costa Rica and immediately taken to the vet. Luckily he was healthy and just needed to be shaved down as very matted. Vet also stated Gabriel was underweight which he is slowly gaining. Gabriel is in foster and is ready for a forever home. He is good with dogs, can be cat tested, friendly to everyone including kids. This adorable boy has been neutered, utd vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, Snap 4dx tested, and comes with a vet Health Certificate. If interested, please email dcdgavel@gmail.com for an adoption application.

***REMINDER:  Please read the bio requirements and only fill in the application if you can meet ALL requirements. Due to the number of applications being received for each dog, we are only able to contact the applicants who have met ALL the listed Requirements***   Chelsea may be adopted with Foxy (same foster home) or separately if there is a companion dog in your home . Name/Tag#:  Chelsea 4203 Age: 6 years old Sex/Altered: Female/ Spayed Weight: Just under 10 lbs. Breed: Miniature Poodle Foster Home Location: OTTAWA, ON Adoption Fee:  $750.00 Temperament: Very sweet, can be a little shy at first in new situations Activity/Energy Level:  Moderate Up to date on Shots: Yes, plus dental done Housebroken: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Ok with Dogs:  Yes Ok with Cats:  Unknown Ok with Kids:  No, adult only home please Origin: Mill release Requirements:  Securely fenced yard, a well-balanced companion dog (could be Chelsea), adult only home with previous dog experience   Meet Chelsea- a very sweet and playful poodle that is so ready to be your next best friend.  Chelsea is the total package – she has a fantastic personality, she loves to meet other dogs, she is housetrained (will use pee pads too), crate trained, and loves going out for walks.  She was introduced to snow for the first time in her life and she absolutely loves it; you would think she is part husky the way she runs through the snow.  It is so cute to see her just jump right in and frolic in the fresh snow.  She is also just as enthusiastic to curl up for cuddles on the couch beside you during downtime. Grooming is a breeze with her, she is an eager participant and just stands there while you groom her.  Because of her lack of socializing with young children, she can be a bit intimidated by them and will try to move herself away from them when they are around.  Chelsea has learned so much in her time in foster care, the more you can introduce to her the more confident she is becoming.  She is very eager to make sure she is living her life to the fullest and loves to be a part of everything that you are doing. Chelsea loves to interact with the other dogs in her foster home and will initiate play.   Chelsea is looking for a home with another playful dog in it to keep her company and an experienced adult only home with a fenced yard.  You can’t go wrong with adopting this girl!
