Story
Sweet little Gigi, a Poodle X  was picked up as a stray and not claimed.  She is approximately 12 years young, 15 pounds, playful, sweet, and is looking for a family to call her own. She has been fully vetted and has recently been spayed, had a hernia repair and several teeth removed.  She is up to date on her shots, and is microchipped.   Gigi's favourite thing to do is be with her person.  She loves to cuddle and will sit by your side looking for belly rubs and ear scratches.  If you stop petting her she will tap your hand with her nose to remind you to pet her.  She loves to sleep with you and will get right under the covers and curl up beside you.   Gigi eats twice a day and will be your best pal if you offer her some treats during as well. She gets wet food because she has  so few teeth,  but she does enjoy a bit of kibble  in a separate bowl.        She goes to the door to be let out and his well housetrained.  Gigi knows the commands sit, stay and off. On walks or going for a ride in the car, Gigi will often try to chat with people or other dogs that she sees.  Saying thank you will often get her to quiet down.  She will also bark to alert if she hears someone outside but quickly settles.  Gigi loves everyone and is quick to approach people for affection. She is currently in a foster home with 2 other small dogs and gets along well with them.   The best placement for Gigi would be with people who are home most of the time and have a fenced yard where she can go out several times a day.November 23, 2024, 8:49 am

MAKE SURE TO READ BIO IN FULL. APPLICANTS THAT DO NOT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. A FENCED YARD AND QUIET HOME IS A MUST. Teddy / Neutered Male / 2.5 years / Miniature Poodle / 15lbs / Dogs: Yes, calm ones / Cats: Not sure / Kids: Yes, 12+ Hi, I’m Teddy. I came from what many people call a “puppy mill,” but for me, it was a real-life nightmare. I spent my days in a small cage with other dogs, barely getting fresh food and water. The only time I saw humans was when they roughly moved us from cage to cage, and to be honest, I was scared of them. I didn’t know what love was, or even what a real home was. But then everything changed. One day, a kind family came and took me to their home. It was warm, peaceful, and safe – a place where I could finally feel what it’s like to be loved. I now have two doggy foster brothers who came from the same background, and I was amazed at how they trusted their humans and how gentle and kind everyone is. Slowly, I’ve learned that not all humans are scary, and that most dogs are treated with love and care in their homes. I’m so grateful for this new life, and I’m excited to find a forever home where I can feel safe and loved every day. A little about me: • I’m a quiet guy who loves chicken, cheese, and plain Timbits (yum!). • I enjoy relaxing on a comfy couch or bed – comfort is key! • I prefer calm, peaceful environments. Rowdy kids and chaotic situations make me nervous. • I’d do best in a home with no other pets or maybe one quiet, laid-back dog. I’m still learning to trust other dogs and understand that playing doesn’t always mean fighting. • I’m shy because I’m still figuring out who I can trust, but once I know you’re kind, I’m a loyal friend. • I’m a low-energy guy and don’t require much exercise. I’m perfectly happy with a walk and some time to do my business outside. • I enjoy sleeping in my crate, and I go in and out without issue. It’s my safe space. • I’ve never met a cat, so I’m not sure about them. • I am good with kids but need respectful, older children who understand my need for space and quiet time. A little extra about me: I’m nearsighted, so I don’t see very well sometimes, but it doesn’t bother me much. I can be picked up and carried, though I’m still getting used to it. I mostly like to relax, but who knows? Maybe I’ll start enjoying some playtime as I get more comfortable! What I’m looking for: I want a quiet home where someone is around more often than not. I need a family who is patient and understanding as I continue learning to trust. My ideal home would be calm, routine, and full of gentle love. I’m ready to spend my days lounging with you and being your loyal companion. I’m a little shy, but I know I have a lot of love to give. If you think you could be the right person to help me feel safe and loved, I can’t wait to meet you. Teddy has need neutered, is up to date on his vaccines and is microchipped. He had a dental cleaning. He is being fostered in St Thomas. Apply to adopt! https://forms.gle/iE7ZF3uYLmcq2Lvt6

Story
Hi there! My name is Hare, and I'm excited to share my story with you. While I'm not exactly sure when I was born, people think I might have come into this world around 2017. My life took a significant turn in 2024 when I was rescued from an unlicensed breeding facility in Boryeong. Since then, I've been on a heartfelt journey to find my forever home, and I'd love to tell you a bit about myself. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but I have a soft spot for treats! If you offer me a tasty snack, I'll warm up quickly and enjoy being petted. Though I haven't met many children under 13, I promise to be gentle and kind. You can even rub my belly and lift me up for some cozy cuddles! I absolutely love going for walks and have learned to walk calmly on a leash, staying right by your side. After our outdoor adventures, there's nothing I enjoy more than curling up on the couch and relaxing together. When it comes to my dog friends, I like to say hello but prefer to keep my distance-I'm not much of a player and like to avoid any drama. To be honest, not many dogs catch my attention, and I've never encountered a cat before, so I'm curious but unsure of how I'd react. Sometimes, I can feel a little anxious when left alone, so I might let you know if I'm missing you. I'm working on building my confidence and learning that it's okay to be independent. I may also speak up when I want something from you-after all, communication is key! I'm fully trained to use indoor pads and enjoy outdoor bathroom breaks. I absolutely love food, so it's best to be cautious when feeding me. I tend to be more attached to humans than other dogs, and I calm down wonderfully when I'm with you. I truly thrive on human companionship, and I know I'll be happiest by your side. If you're looking for a loving, gentle friend to share your life with, I hope you'll consider bringing me into your home. I can't wait to show you just how sweet I can be! ##2260982##

Name/Tag#:  Chelsea 4203 Age: 6 years old Sex/Altered: Female/ Spayed Weight: Just under 10 lbs. Breed: Miniature Poodle Foster Home Location: OTTAWA, ON Adoption Fee:  $750.00 Temperament: Very sweet, can be a little shy at first in new situations Activity/Energy Level:  Moderate Up to date on Shots: Yes, plus dental done Housebroken: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Ok with Dogs:  Yes Ok with Cats:  Unknown Ok with Kids:  No, adult only home please Origin: Mill release Requirements:  Securely fenced yard, adult only home with previous dog experience   Meet Chelsea- a very sweet and playful poodle that is so ready to be your next best friend.  Chelsea is the total package – she has a fantastic personality, she loves to meet other dogs, she is housetrained (will use pee pads too), crate trained, and loves going out for walks.  She was introduced to snow for the first time in her life and she absolutely loves it; you would think she is part husky the way she runs through the snow.  It is so cute to see her just jump right in and frolic in the fresh snow.  She is also just as enthusiastic to curl up for cuddles on the couch beside you during downtime. Grooming is a breeze with her, she is an eager participant and just stands there while you groom her.  Because of her lack of socializing with young children, she can be a bit intimidated by them and will try to move herself away from them when they are around.  Chelsea has learned so much in her time in foster care, the more you can introduce to her the more confident she is becoming.  She is very eager to make sure she is living her life to the fullest and loves to be a part of everything that you are doing. Chelsea loves to interact with the other dogs in her foster home and will initiate play.   Chelsea is looking for a home with another playful dog in it to keep her company and an experienced adult only home with a fenced yard.  You can’t go wrong with adopting this girl!
