Story
Meet Darlie!Darlie is an 8-year-old miniature poodle mix weighing just 12 pounds. She came to Canine Collective from an Amish breeding situation, arriving frightened and unsure of the world. With patience, safety, and gentle care, this little girl has made heartwarming progress in a short time. After about six weeks in a home, Darlie is now comfortable going outside to potty and has learned that kind humans can be trusted. Once she knows you, she allows handling and enjoys being picked up by those whove earned her confidence. Shes also discovered a love for Snausages (a girl after our own hearts!) and can use washable pee pads overnight if needed.Darlie would do best in a calm, patient home and would truly thrive with another confident dog to help show her the ropes. Shed love to be adopted with her daughter Debbie, but its not required. If youre the kind of person who understands that the most rewarding bonds take timeand you have the heart to show Darlie just how good life can beplease apply at www.caninecollective.org.

Story
Meet Debbie!Debbie is a 5-year-old, 13-pound off-white miniature poodle mix who is just beginning to discover how good life can be. She arrived at Canine Collective with her mom, Darlie, after leaving an Amish breeding situation, and at first she was understandably confused and frightened by the world around her. With time, patience, and a loving rescue home, Debbie has started to blossom. Shes learned to potty outside and can also use washable pee pads. After her first haircut, Debbie began peeking out at this big new world and before long, she discovered some pretty wonderful things like belly rubs, gentle kisses, and her favorite Snausage treats.Debbie does need a little time to build trust, but once she does, her sweet nature shines through. A calm, patient home (and maybe a confident canine friend) will help her continue to gain confidence and feel safe.Debbie is ready to leave her past behind and start her next chapter. If you have the heart to go slow and the love to give, please apply at **www.caninecollective.org

Story
Hi, I’m Hunter! I’m an 8-year-old male miniature poodle and weigh around 18 lbs.I spent my first 7 years living in an Amish puppy mill and was dropped off at a vet clinic when I was too old for breeding.I live with other dogs of all sizes (20-100 lbs) and do fine with them. I can be a little bossy at times, so would do best with other dogs who tolerate that. I would probably be calmer in a house with one or two calm dogs (right now I live with puppies and they can get me overexcited). I might be ok as an only dog too. If someone is interested in me, we could do a foster-to-adopt program to check it out. I would probably be fine with cats and can test if you need. I shouldn’t be in a home with children.I seem to be more comfortable around female adults and follow them around for attention. I have to trust you first and then I will want petted!I am crate trained and happily eat my meals in the crate. I should wear belly bands in the home as I work on housetraining. I am spry and healthy but don’t have much of an exercise requirement. It might be easier if you had a fenced yard but that is not currently a requirement. As far as toys, I love playing with my ball and like to paw at it and roll it around.Hope to find my family soon!

$800 adoption fee is for both pups! Meet Madea & Gumbo! This beautiful bonded pair found themselves in the county shelter due to the death of their owner. Madea & Gumbo spent several days in the home with their deceased owner until they were finally discovered during a welfare check. A concerned family member reached out to SRC and put us in contact with that shelter, and the rest is history. Now completely utd on vaccines, spayed and neutered, chipped, and on prevention. These cute kids are housebroken and ready to find their family together. Madea (grey) 1 year/8 lbs. These two kids are playful in the day and snuggle bugs at night. They love to play and would be the perfect duo for any family. They would do best in a home with a fenced yard. They walk great on a leash, get along with other dogs and older children.
