Story
Uno would do best as an only dog or with a submissive dog due to his energy and love of claiming his toys. He is missing an eye because he got into an altercation with a big dog that didn't like his attitude! He is crate trained and potties outside, but he does mark in the house with other males dogs present. he wears a belly band with no issues. Leash skills have improved and we just step away from dogs on the walk and redirect him. He could be leashed walked and be an only dog. He can coexist with other dogs with management of toys. He eats in his crate. If you have a fence with dogs on the other side, will take him awhile to get used to them without acting a fool. He is a fantastic companion in the right home. He is loving and loves affections. His behaviors of wanting to be King can be managed by experience pet owner. Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped. The rescue does not adopt out to properties with invisible fences or tie outs. Story
Meet Phoebe: Sweet, Shy, and Ready for Love! Phoebe, a 4-month-old, 6lb mini poodle puppy, is a sweet, timid girl who’s still adjusting to the world around her, but with time and patience, we know she’s going to blossom into an incredible companion. Right now, Phoebe is a little nervous and not quite ready for a leash or outdoor adventures, and she’s still working on house training. But she’s making great progress, and we’re confident she’ll soon be ready to take on new challenges! Phoebe loves being near her humans and is happiest when she’s by your side. While she’s not yet a fan of her crate, she will go in when she has to—though she’d much rather snuggle up close, preferably wrapped up in soft, cozy blankets. She thrives in a home where someone is around during the day to offer her the comfort and security she craves. One of Phoebe’s favorite things is playing with small toys—she has a blast with them! She also loves following around her 15-pound poodle buddy, and it’s so sweet to see them together. Phoebe would likely do great in a home with another small, gentle dog to help build her confidence. Phoebe is looking for a patient and loving family who will help her continue to build her trust in the world. Once she learns to feel safe, she’ll be an amazing addition to the family. If you're ready to offer Phoebe the time, love, and care she needs to flourish, she’ll repay you with endless affection and loyalty. Phoebe is ready to find her forever home—could it be with you? Phoebe is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Story
Hi, my name is Tabitha and I am an older gal with lots of life left. MVPC pulled me from the shelter not quite sure of all of my ailments. My biggest issue is that one of my eyes have a miotic pupil that require drops every so often to keep my eye clear. I also arrived with no teeth, not a one! But don't worry, I get around fine with my eye issue. I eat just fine - but I do prefer small bite food. I am over any rambunctious shenanigans and am just looking to enjoy life. I am a good girl and get along with everyone but being older I would prefer a calmer sibling that will give me some space. I'm also perfectly fine if it's just me and you! I totally love to curl up next to you and just snuggle. I'm excellent with my crate manners and am house trained. I love soft treats, especially pepperoni....and did I mention I LOVE my people and snuggling?? So, if you want a mature girl who is looking to just kick back and enjoy retirement - I'm your girl!! ADOPTION FEE: $250 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 11/02/2015 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes DOGS IN HOME: Yes or can go solo CATS: Unknown CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $250 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! ***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. IF YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION OR ARE NOT YET READY TO PROCEED PLEASE APPLY WHEN YOU ARE.*** INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
