You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Gaia is a very happy girl who came to us from a situation where she had received very little socialization with humans. While she is a bit shy, she presents no aggression towards humans or other animals. She needs a patient adopter that gets that she will need time to fully blossom. On her terms she will let us rub her and even let us hold her. She is a very happy girl who greets us when we get home with a wagging tail and loving excitement. The best situation for Gaia would be a home that includes a fenced yard giving her the opportunity to run freely outside to potty. Gaia has improved her socialization greatly since being in her loving foster home so 'the sky is the limit' for this precious girl.   You can apply to adopt our dogs at: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 26, 2025, 12:00 pm

Story
NOTE: Please read our entire write-up before contacting us. If you don't know the age, breed, weight, what vet care we provide our dogs, the adoption fee, or how to apply, you have not read the write-up. Dulcie Breed: Poodle mix Gender: Female, spayed DOB: 11-7-2023 Weight: approx. 10 pounds Microchipped Adoption Fee: $400 We love little Dulcie! Once she gets to know you, she is all about her people! She is eager to please, eager to play, and eager to slumber during quiet time! All around, she's a lot of fun and a wonderful companion! Dulcie is a wonderful little dog who had a few challenges before we got her! She had been hit by a car and broke her pelvis. She recovered from her pelvis injury, but once we were given the all-clear to groom her, it was discovered she had also broken her left foot! She had a severely luxating patella on the same leg and we had that repaired. The vet examined the foot at that time and it was determined the foot did not require further intervention. So, she's a great little dog who can walk and run who often holds up her leg when she is tired. We are seeking an adults-only home for Dulcie that will take her for the walks she loves and on outings to pet friendly locations! She LOVES people, loves other dogs and is a happy companion! Can you guess her favorite game? FETCH! She could play this all day, if allowed! She's a cray cray girl when it comes to playing fetch! This little girl is a fantastic dog who is just looking for the right people to call family! Story
Berkeley is a major snuggler, affectionate, and a playful goofball! We are looking for a household with adults only who want to devote plenty of time to exercising with her, socializing her gradually, and helping her build confidence. She may also live well with another dog if given a slow introduction. Fine in her crate for a short while, she is working on longer periods, goes on potty breaks about every 5 hours during the day, and sleeps through the night. Berkeley needs continued practice while leash walking. Although often scared of dogs and passers-by, she warms up to those who greet her calmly, and can be redirected with a treat and a gentle tug on the leash. This girl loves being by your side, favors a lapdog lifestyle, and, if you let her, will happily share your bed! She can also be independent, entertaining herself with her toys. Berkeley is a joy to be around and will keep you amused with her antics! HISTORY Berkeley's former owner was unable to care for her due to medical issues. HEALTH Berkeley is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. PHYSICAL Berkeley’s beautiful white coat must be groomed every 4-to-6 weeks. She has black eyes, a black nose, black floppy ears, and beautiful black markings: on her face mask, her head and back, and a smidge on her toes.

Story
Blue is a 13-year-old, 12lb black/grey Miniature Poodle. Blue might be an older pup but that doesn't stop him from being the ultimate love bug. Due to him being older, Blue does have cataracts but that doesn't slow him down from spotting deer in his backyard and barking a "hello" at them! He does wear a belly band to minimize any marking but doesn't mind wearing them to keep your house clean! Blue is leash trained and crate-trained although he would prefer to be on his person's lap! He loves treats and affection and just can't get enough of either. If you think you can give Blue a happy home for the rest of his life, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!February 20, 2025, 11:58 am

Story
(08/05/2013) If you are looking for a well-mannered paw-fect senior pair, these two are truly a daily gift. Meet Sandy and Shadow! They remind me daily to enjoy the life I have been given and to do it with them This potty-trained duo are mature, loveble, intelligent, and happy friends who have lived together for years. They are ready to devote their best years to a fantastic family! Whether yal are retired, have children over 8 years old Shadow & Sandy are the right age for anyone interested in sharing their daily life with this special canine pair. They do love children. Little Shadow has a new little, baby kitten friend which is very cute. Sandy, the taller of the two woman’s and /or man’s best friends, appears to be about 7-8yr. Shadow, predominantly a short black and white cutie, is perhaps 10yy. They are known to be healthy overall, have been fully vetted, enjoy walks under our beautiful NC skies, enjoy a car ride, and know how to use a dog door. They also would say “Yes” to…a fenced yard. If you seek these pastimes: cuddling, watching pooches twist in delight when booties are scratched, relish in the pleasure of a relaxing afternoon in bed when it is raining or snowing, being the recipient of pooch smooches, and look forward to playing with stuffies, look no further! PS. – If you usually ride shotgun, you may have competition or… a guest on your lap.  As part of Sandy & Shadow's bonded $400 (for both) adoption fee, they arebe spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little girl and boy,  you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Sandy and Shadow, you can fill in an online application for them under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1811010##
