Story
Blue is a 13-year-old, 12lb black/grey Miniature Poodle. Blue might be an older pup but that doesn't stop him from being the ultimate love bug. Due to him being older, Blue does have cataracts and vision problems, so he will need someone patient who can help guide him. He does wear a belly band to minimize any marking but doesn't mind wearing them to keep your house clean! Blue is leash trained and doesn't really like the crate, but he will go in it, he just prefers to be on his person's lap! He loves treats and affection. If you think you can give Blue a happy home for the rest of his life, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!November 1, 2024, 5:17 pm

Story
Bella is a 2-year-old, 13lb cream Poodle mix. Have you ever seen anything cuter than little Bella's ear standing up? Bella is a sweet and playful poodle who is ready to find her forever person. She can be a little shy at first, but she's been really coming out of her shell with her foster mom's patience and love. She loves to play with her foster dog siblings, but her favorite thing is to be with her person. Bella has a good amount of energy so she would do best in a home with a fence where she can play to her hearts content. She is currently working on her leash manners, and once she's learned them, she'd be a great adventure buddy since she loves car rides. Bella is totally housebroken and can be left alone without being crated. More than anything, Bella is just looking for someone to love on her and make her part of their family. If you think Bella is the poodle for you, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. Story
Mazikeen is an absolute doll baby. This sweet little girl loves to be held and snuggled and just wants to be where are people are (maybe we should have named her Ariel) Mazikeen is crate trained. She came to us with GIANT bladder stones and is currently recovering from surgery to remove those. Right now, we're not sure exactly where she stands in terms of being house-trained as we're still noticing that her bladder can only hold it for so long after her surgery. We're hoping this continues to improve as she recovers fully. Mazikeen loves toys and treats and is the best little buddy you could hope to find!

Story
Harry is the sweetest little shihpoo you’ll ever meet. He is neutered and UTD on his vaccines. Harry loves to play with his foster siblings and especially loves to play tug of war and all things with squeakers. Harry does well walking on the leash and is a great companion in the car. He sleeps well in his crate at night and when we are not home. He’ll go right in the crate if you say “crate” and give him a little treat. He devours his dental chews and is very food motivated. He loves nothing more than curling up behind your knees or in your lap on the couch. We think Harry would do well in a home with another fur sibling to play with and continue to learn from. Harry is about 90% potty trained and is a great learner! He doesn’t jump up on you and has the potential to serve as a therapy dog with the proper time and training. Harry has so much love to give and will thrive in a home with structure, routine, training, cuddles, pets, and lots of love!

Story
Hi there! My name is Hare, and I’m excited to share my story with you. While I’m not exactly sure when I was born, people think I might have come into this world around 2017. My life took a significant turn in 2024 when I was rescued from an unlicensed breeding facility in Boryeong. Since then, I’ve been on a heartfelt journey to find my forever home, and I’d love to tell you a bit about myself. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but I have a soft spot for treats! If you offer me a tasty snack, I’ll warm up quickly and enjoy being petted. Though I haven’t met many children under 13, I promise to be gentle and kind. You can even rub my belly and lift me up for some cozy cuddles! I absolutely love going for walks and have learned to walk calmly on a leash, staying right by your side. After our outdoor adventures, there’s nothing I enjoy more than curling up on the couch and relaxing together. When it comes to my dog friends, I like to say hello but prefer to keep my distance—I’m not much of a player and like to avoid any drama. To be honest, not many dogs catch my attention, and I’ve never encountered a cat before, so I’m curious but unsure of how I’d react. Sometimes, I can feel a little anxious when left alone, so I might let you know if I’m missing you. I’m working on building my confidence and learning that it’s okay to be independent. I may also speak up when I want something from you—after all, communication is key! I’m fully trained to use indoor pads and enjoy outdoor bathroom breaks. I absolutely love food, so it’s best to be cautious when feeding me. I tend to be more attached to humans than other dogs, and I calm down wonderfully when I’m with you. I truly thrive on human companionship, and I know I’ll be happiest by your side. If you’re looking for a loving, gentle friend to share your life with, I hope you’ll consider bringing me into your home. I can’t wait to show you just how sweet I can be!
