Story
Meet Kevin.... What a sweet little guy... *** Pics is before and after grooming Kevin and 2 brothers were recently pulled from a puppy mill in Wisconsin. The females were sold to pet stores, but the males were not. This is very typical for pet stores. They cherry pick thru litters and only take " The best sellers". That could be based on looks, breed, sex, size etc... We have no problem taking the " least sellers". Kevin is a 15 week old male Mini Goldendoodle. He is considered low shedding. Most people with allergies due well with this breed cross. We estimate his full growth weight to be around 15 pounds. Kevin is quite petite. Kevin is very sweet, but is nervousand shy when meeting new people. Typical mill behavior, he will come around quickly in foster while being handled often. Kevin is very comfortable around other dogs and he plays like crazy with them. Using a wee wee pad for potty training. Being fostered in Rockland County NY Send an email to Onepawatatimerescue@gmail.com and request an application *** That's the only way to get an application Adoption fee is $950 We adopt in the Tri State Area ONLY NY, NJ, PA, CT, MA, MD, RI, NH, VT, DE

Story
Hi, I’m Reno, a 7.5-year-old Mini Poodle with a heart that’s ready to open up to a loving family! I might be a little shy when we first meet, but once I feel safe, I’ll be your most devoted friend. Weighing just 10 pounds, I’m a little guy with a big heart, and I get along well with other dogs and kids. After spending my early years in a puppy mill, I was willingly surrendered and I’m ready for a fresh start with a family who will show me the love and care I’ve always deserved. I’m a gentle soul who enjoys the simple things—just being close to my people, sharing quiet moments, and soaking up the love I missed out on before. My past may have been rough, but I’m ready to put it all behind me and focus on a happy, cozy future. You’ll find that with a little patience, I come out of my shell and have so much love to give in return. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Loretta, our beautiful Puppymill survivor, has been spayed and is ready for a home! This 2-3 year old 14lbs Merle colored mini poodle was used to breed oodles of doodles and poo- mixes to be sold, and finally was no longer needed after her most recent litter. She’s timid but sweet, already tap-dancing and wagging her tail at us in a little greeting, a gentle and sweet girl. She loves her doggie friends and needs a home with another compatible little dog friend to help her adjust to life in a real home for the first time. Email njwoof@cs.com to meet Loretta in Northern NJ Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Submit an application from our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com to speed up the adoption process and email any questions to us at njwoof@cs.com. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.

Story
Meet Shaggy - an affectionate, friendly, gentle, and playful senior dog! This happy boy is a snuggle bug who enjoys spending his days lounging around, going on nice walks, playing with his favourite toys, and eating frozen food-stuffed Kongs. Despite his cataracts, Shaggy gets around just fine and can jump on couches and beds with minor assistance. He is crate-trained but prefers to spend his time with his people or his foster dog siblings. He even gets along with cats! Shaggy is housebroken, uses a pee pad, and is crate-trained. He already knows basic commands like "sit" and "shake" and can be left free in the house as he doesn't destroy things. He is also very food-motivated and always comes running when he hears the sound of a treat! At 11 years old, Shaggy is an easy-going and low-maintenance senior dog who is just looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years. He has so much love and affection to give and will provide endless snuggles and companionship. If you think you can give Shaggy the loving home he deserves, please submit an adoption application today. Let's find this sweet boy his forever home! Shaggy weighs about 29 pounds. Update: Our vet has determined Shaggy has food allergies and is doing great on a prescription diet which has been helping with his skin and fur allergies/sensitivity. He is itching much less. He is currently getting monthly cytopoint shots while his skin is healing. Shaggy also was seen by an eye specialist and it was determined that, although he would be able to undergo anesthesia, he has an additional eye issue that would keep him from having successful cataract procedure. *Please note we currently have two dogs with similar names. Please refer to this dog as Shaggy#2 when filling out your application or emailing to avoid any confusions or delays in processing.* We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. If you are interested in adopting, we encourage you to please submit an application on our website today so that we can try and process and pre-approve any potential adopters prior to our next adoption event. PLEASE USE THIS LINK TO SUBMIT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. WE ONLY ACCEPT ADOPTION APPLICATIONS THROUGH OUR WEBSITE. ANY OTHERS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. Application link here: http://www.oscaranimalrescue.org/oscar-1-application.html Adoption Process: 1.Fill out an application 2.Meet & Greet 3.Adoption contract & adoption fee Shaggy#2's adoption fee is $100.
