Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Our sweet and sassy "S" puppies are available for adoption! These pups were born in rescue and have been surrounded by warmth, comfort, and love. Their mother is a Chihuahua mix, and their father is a Poodle mix. We anticipate that they will weigh between 10 and 15+ pounds when fully grown. Currently, they are 4 months old. The puppies are incredibly playful and full of fun antics! They love to romp around and play with other dogs. While a couple of them are a bit quieter and more reserved, they all have such sweet personalities. They are potty pad trained, as they haven’t had much chance to explore outside in this chilly weather. Just like any young pups, they’ll need a little help with their basic training and skills. Think of them as adorable blank slates, ready for love, patience, and a good dose of time to grow into the amazing dogs they’re meant to be! Saint is one of our quieter puppies, a truly gentle little soul. He enjoys playing with his siblings but tends to be more reserved—dare we say, even better behaved! He watches everyone with big eyes, carefully observing to see if what they are doing is safe or if they might get into trouble. Saintis a lap dog and loves to be cuddled and snuggled up.  He is playful and likes toys but he is not over the top.  He is doing great on his pee pad training and will pick up housetraining outside better once the weather breaks.  Saint is neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccines, dewormed and microchipped.   .   Hid adoption fee is $475Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 22, 2025, 10:35 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Shamus is searching for his forever home! He is a 2-year-old mini Goldendoodle, weighing approximately 18 pounds. Shamus has been with us since the summertime and has made significant progress in his foster home but he has come as he can there. Now, it’s time for him to find a new family to love him. We are specifically looking for a special home, so please read his profile carefully. Shamus came to us from backyard breeders and did not have much positive human contact during his first two years. He is very much like a puppymill dog.  He is skittish and nervous around people; while he will wag his tail when spoken to, he is hesitant to approach. When laying down, he will allow you to pet him. He is not aggressive at all—just scared.   Shamus loves other dogs and enjoys being outside! It’s wonderful to watch him play with toys and interact with other dogs. He needs another playful, confident dog to follow as a role model and help boost his confidence. Shamus understands the concept of going to the bathroom outside, and we believe he is mostly housetrained, though he will need time and patience as he adjusts to a new environment.   It is absolutely necessary for Shamus's new home to have a fully fenced yard—no invisible fences, please. He will do better with older children who won’t frighten him or try to grab at him. Shamus is crate trained but does better when gated off in a safe area. He is not yet leash trained, but we have him dragging a short leash to help him get used to it and allow us to catch him if necessary.   This sweet boy deserves a loving and caring home that understands he may never be a "normal" dog, but he will be the best companion he can be. His previous life was far from ideal, but now he has a chance to be loved as a pet. Shamus is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $475Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 6, 2025, 10:25 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Max is available for adoption!  Max is about 2 or 3 years old and weighs 23 pounds.  He is a poodle mix, we are not sure with what though.  He is some sort of doodle though! Max came to us from a breeder and is learning all about living in a house - what an adventure!  He is very curious and loves to investigate everything.  He will see if he can play with things he finds - sometimes he can and other times he gets told no!  He is always checking out the counters to see if there is anything tasty to sample!  Max loves to be outside and will stay out as long as possible.  He has a fully fenced yard in his foster home so that is a great help.  Max is not leash trained and has had no real experience on it so fully fenced yard will be required - sorry no invisible fences for him. He is doing well with his housetraining but please realize it is all new to him so there will be additional training needed - and please expect some accidents along the way.   Max gets along well with other dogs and is very playful.  He is also cuddly with them and likes to snooze with a buddy.  Another dog to show him the ropes would be great.   Max is a dog that was released from a breeding facility, similar to those from puppy mills. He is not leash trained and has no experience with leashes. His new home must have a fully fenced yard—please note that invisible fences are not acceptable.  Additionally, we require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure his safety and security. Max is neutered, up to  date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $475Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 10, 2025, 3:22 pm

Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!! Sasha is an overweight poodle at 21 pounds and she should be more like 15 pounds.  She could really use an owner to help her lose weight and feel loved again.  She is 6 years old so no need to potty trained this young veteran.  Sasha came to me with another dog after their owner suddenly passed away from health problems.  She is dog and people friendly, walks well on the leash and rides in the car without getting sick.  Her companion was an overweight male chihuahua mix and they had been together a long time.  He has been placed already and now Sasha would love to be in a stable home.   If you are interested in adopting Sasha please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         November 7, 2024, 5:10 am

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This little guy SAMMY has been with me a while because he had cherry eyes in both eyes and needed surgery.  He still looks a little sluggish but his surgery to remove both cherry eyes went smoothly and he is healing with no problems.  There is NO daily maintenance for upkeep required on him. SAMMY is 3 years old and weighs 11.30 pounds.  He is leash trained and rides well in the car.  I call SAMMY the daddy of the group of dogs around here because he acts like everyone's loving dad.  Especially with the puppies, he cleans them and gently plays with them and he knows what he is doing because he plays a little rougher with the older/bigger dogs. He is a great dog with all of the dogs and if one does not play with him he will get in their face and bark at them for a moment until another dog comes along and plays with him SAMMY is very social and friendly with everyone he meets.  He was found on the streets of San Antonio, TX in horrible shape, simply horrible.  His mats were at least 10 months old and it took me 2 days to get them off.  Oh by the way he looks scruffy and a bit raggedly because I groomed (hacked) him myself so he could have his neuter surgery.  I did not have time to have him properly groomed before the surgery.  I will clean him up again in a few days and post new pictures of him. SAMMY would do best in a home with another dog that he can play with.  He would be bored bad being the only dog.  I do NOT have cats in my home so I do not know how he would do with cats and I do not have the ability to cat test him.  I know he was on the streets a long time surviving the best he could.  Since being in my house he has been a great houseguest and has given me no problems.   If you are interested in adopting SAMMY please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.
