Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!! Sasha is an overweight poodle at 21 pounds and she should be more like 15 pounds.  She could really use an owner to help her lose weight and feel loved again.  She is 6 years old so no need to potty trained this young veteran.  Sasha came to me with another dog after their owner suddenly passed away from health problems.  She is dog and people friendly, walks well on the leash and rides in the car without getting sick.  Her companion was an overweight male chihuahua mix and they had been together a long time.  He has been placed already and now Sasha would love to be in a stable home.   If you are interested in adopting Sasha please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         November 7, 2024, 5:10 am

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This little guy SAMMY has been with me a while because he had cherry eyes in both eyes and needed surgery.  He still looks a little sluggish but his surgery to remove both cherry eyes went smoothly and he is healing with no problems.  There is NO daily maintenance for upkeep required on him. SAMMY is 3 years old and weighs 11.30 pounds.  He is leash trained and rides well in the car.  I call SAMMY the daddy of the group of dogs around here because he acts like everyone's loving dad.  Especially with the puppies, he cleans them and gently plays with them and he knows what he is doing because he plays a little rougher with the older/bigger dogs. He is a great dog with all of the dogs and if one does not play with him he will get in their face and bark at them for a moment until another dog comes along and plays with him SAMMY is very social and friendly with everyone he meets.  He was found on the streets of San Antonio, TX in horrible shape, simply horrible.  His mats were at least 10 months old and it took me 2 days to get them off.  Oh by the way he looks scruffy and a bit raggedly because I groomed (hacked) him myself so he could have his neuter surgery.  I did not have time to have him properly groomed before the surgery.  I will clean him up again in a few days and post new pictures of him. SAMMY would do best in a home with another dog that he can play with.  He would be bored bad being the only dog.  I do NOT have cats in my home so I do not know how he would do with cats and I do not have the ability to cat test him.  I know he was on the streets a long time surviving the best he could.  Since being in my house he has been a great houseguest and has given me no problems.   If you are interested in adopting SAMMY please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Welcome SAMSON to our home.  This mellow guy is an owner surrender who came from a retired couple that are experiencing medical problems and unable to care for him any longer.  Although he is getting along with the foster dogs in my home he is accustomed to be the only dog in the home.  I think another mild mannered dog would be a good pet-mate for him or a home where he is the only dog. SAMSON is 4 years old and weighs a plump 31 pounds, he needs to lose about 5 pounds!  His former home gave him lots of human food and he is use to being spoiled with it.  SAMSON is mostly poodle with some Maltese in him which makes his hair straight in some places but mostly he is curly. The hair on his face is straight and a curly body.  He also has a cute speckled nose. He is happy and bounces around on his walks, he loves to go for walks and is very familiar with the car, he jumps right in and watches all of his surroundings. If you would like to adopt SAMSON please submit an application on the website below or you can call me.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This scruffy, curly haired golden boy is TUCKER.  He is a poodle mix with something to make him a desired doodle.  His coat is long and he really needs to be groomed properly.  I cut the hair out of his eyes. Poor TUCKER was running the streets trying to survive on his own and just did not have a clue.  He was very happy to get in the car with the finder and be saved. He weighs 29 pounds and I am sure he will double in weight, he has a healthy appetite, just loves his food and treats but he has no aggression toward his food with other dogs or humans.  TUCKER is such a happy, jolly guy that he has no agression in any area. I have started crate training him and he is doing very well but cannot hold it that long right now, he does have to be taken out in the middle of the night until he gets the hang of it.  I use the word 'Potty' to go outside and he understands and I believe he equates that word with 'Play' because he happily bounces outside and play with the other foster dogs all of whom he gets along with.  I am working on the potty training and he still needs work, he is a puppy that has been on the streets for a while on his own. TUCKER is 5 1/2 months old and walks pretty good on the leash, he does not pull, just not sure which way to go but he will follow you.  He rides in the car well without geting sick. He would make a great playmate for another dog and another dog would have a great impact on training him as he follows the leader with activities.  He loves the water, likes to drink it a lot and play in it. If you are interested in adopting TUCKER, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.SEAN's personality is just a typical dog who is social.  He plays with the other fosters in the home and enjoys hanging outside running around.  He also likes to just walk around the house as if he is monitoring everyone and everything.  He does not destroy or get into anything when I am gone.  He is crate trained and potty trained and walks very well on a leash.  Even though he is not food aggressive or have other aggressions, he is more comfortable eating in his crate.  His crate is his comfort zone and he sleeps in there as well even when the door is open and he has other options. SEAN is 3 years old and 20 pounds and somehow does not beg for table food like the other dogs but he does enjoy hotdogs and cheese.  He walks very well on a leash and would probably enjoy getting out for a walk every now and thing because he tends to be nosey and wants to see what is happening.  He tends to be a routine kind of guy too.  I do not have any cats in my home so I am not able to cat test him, sorry. He is in the picture with STEW who sleeps beside him and they play together very well. Of course being a poodle he will need to be groomed every 5-7 weeks to keep him handsome!  If you are interested in adopting SEAN please submit an application on the website below.  You can also call me to discuss him further.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Medley is a 3 year old mini aussiedoodle. She is the perfect size at 17lbs. She is new to foster but already demonstrates the intelligence that both her breeds are known for. So far what we know is that she is extremely sweet, likes couch time with humans, sleeps in a crate at night (but would prefer to be in bed with her humans) enjoys playing with toys  walks nicely on a leash and is great with other dogs but would be okay as an only dog. Potty taking going well We are going to be looking for a fenced yard for her as she enjoys yard time.  NY AG/MKTS RR363Medley is being fostered in BuffaloMedley's adoption donation is $550

Story
Uma's nickname should be "La Diva" because that's how she expects to be treated. She is a stunning 3 year old firecracker of a mini poodle. She respresents everything great about poodles. Smart, funny, playful, happy go lucky and sweet. She lives to be on a lap, anyone's lap will do. She can get a bit rumbly with another dog up in her face but hasn't taken it past the warning phase. She is new to rescue but I feel she could go to a house with other submissive dogs or a home as an only dog. She knows stairs already and is doing well potty training. She has been groomed and did excellent for it! That is important because she will need regular groomings as a poodle. This profile will updated as time goes on and I see any changes worth noting.  NY AG/MKTS RR363Uma is being fostered in BuffaloUma's adoption donation is $550

Do you need a BFF who's a little furry and a lot fabulous? Sprocket, the mini poodle with a maxi personality, is here to hang out with you on the couch, go for walks in the snow, and maybe even learn a few new tricks. Her potty training is progressing nicely . She's looking for someone to give and get lots of affection. Sprocket would love to be your new best friend.  If you are interested in meeting her, fill out an application today!  NY AG/MKTS RR 363Sprocket is being fostered in BuffaloSprocket's adoption donation is $500
