Story
Woolly is a 2 year old male miniature poodle weighing 20 lbs who is ready for his forever home! Woolly has moderate energy and loves to visit off leash dog parks, chew on his toys and yak chews, and play fetch, hide-and-seek, and scent work. Woolly showers his people with affection and has a hard time being separated from them. Woolly has come a long way in the past year but is still learning to be comfortable with the world outside his people and home. He requires a quiet home (no apartments) with no other pets/children and a large enclosed yard, and experienced adult dog parents who have the time, commitment and patience to foster his courage and growing independence. Woolly is a bright, cuddly, bouncy, and devoted companion!

Story
Cookie is the sweetest little dog. She came from a hoarding situation where she was one of 40 dogs and was not used to human interaction. She has a foster family who has allowed her to come out of her shell, and is working on potty training. She is amazing with other dogs, fine with cats, and does well for brushing and grooming. In new environments, it does take her a few days to feel safe and show her personality. She is extremely energetic and will play all day. She LOVES being outside and soaking up the sun…likely because she had never been outside before. Cookie really needs to have another playful dog. She is learning how to be a normal dog and a part of a family, but does need direction to figure out what is appropriate and is expected of her. She takes well to positive reinforcement and once she gets to know you, is the funniest little dog. Cookie would do best with an active family who has other dogs. She is learning the leash. She is crate trained as well. She does need to be picked up a lot in the beginning as she does not understand when it is time to go in or out, so someone who is able to bend down is needed for her adoption to be successful. Email us with any further questions.

Since we had just brought in 7 I really didn't have the space so I didn't respond. But I went to bed thinking about these dogs and asked God for a sign how I could help. Crazy! That morning I woke up to a text -  our boarding kennel had a cancellation so I pretty much took it as a sign. I messaged the other rescue still hoping that all the dogs had found rescues to accept them. Sadly the rescue replied that all the local rescues were full but some were able to squeeze a few in but they were reaching out to surrounding out of state rescues for assistance. I told them if all else fails we could take 4-5 if they had no other options. Well, they responded that they had a bunch left so we agreed for them to send some up on transport. That weekend Kimber, Jessie, Max, and Bandit made their way to us. Luckily another rescuer was at the transport also receiving dogs from the same case and he offered to help me move mine from the transporters crates to mine as mine were older dogs and more of a flight risk if they got loose. So here they are we made it home and we've been working with them on socialization. They get their medical this Friday and then will be looking for their happily ever afters.  Temperament- Still very concerned when meeting strangers but settles down and gets better with patience and treats. Jessie wants so badly to be loved but is just still so worried about trusting people. When we sit down and have her favorite snacks she will climb onto our laps and allow us to pet her. She loves attention and I think in time she will blossom into an amazing girl. She is super playful with the other dogs and loves toys! Energy Level- High energy and super playful. She is absolutely darling to watch playing with Max and Kimber. She runs to play chase and loves toys and will pounce on my hands. She has truly come out of her shell so much.   Dogs/Cats- Very playful with the other dogs. Was concerned when meeting the cats. Housetrained- She is currently using a dog door perfectly to go out to potty. However, we do recommend continuing housetraining and watching her as though she isn't house trained since it will be a new home and in her old home they weren't allowed outside so we don't want her to revert back into the habit of going potty inside. But she does seem to be doing perfect with the dog door.   Oh my goodness Jessie was terrified when she got here however she has truly blossomed and has become so playful and sweet. We no longer need treats to get her to come to us. She loves attention and pets and is just turning into such a sweet, little doll. I can't believe how much she has changed. I have absolutely loved watching her blossom into such a funny, playful girl. She is still standoffish with strangers but warms up quickly with treats. She is going to make a fabulous addition to any adult family wanting a happy playful girl they can spoil and make up for her past. She did have pyometra which was close to bursting so it is a good thing we got her in when we did for her spay - I truly think it has made a huge difference in her personality- she is just so happy now. Someone will be very lucky to get this beautiful girl. Please be aware she will need to be groomed as her hair gets very long.      Adoption fee $300 includes spay, pyometra surgery, age appropriate vaccinations (4 for puppies), deworming, microchip, rabies, collar and leash, training information, and all the support you need. They get their medical this Friday and then will be looking for their happily ever afters.  Temperament- Still a little shy when meeting new people but overall he is super sweet, loves attention, and is very playful. He was the youngest one we took from the hoarding case and so at only 6 months old he made progress really fast and is loving attention and playtime.  Energy Level- This sweet guy is a ball of energy who wants nothing more than to sit with his loved one for cuddles and kisses. He loves his toys and is just the happiest puppy ever. Please keep in mind all puppies no matter how sweet and quiet and mellow still need time, love, training, and playtime to burn energy and be the best puppies they can be. If you are not prepared for sharp nails and teeth and a lot of training, messes, and work then please consider an adult dog who is already trained.    Dogs/Cats- Loves all the other dogs and will be meeting the cats soon  Housetrained- He is currently using a dog door perfectly to go out to do his business. However, we are recommending that whoever adopts him continue monitoring him closely. Crating, leashed to you, and/or use of a belly band whenever you are not able to watch him is highly recommended until he knows the rules in the new home. We also recommend a home with no other male dogs as this can start a peeing contest.     This little guy is super cute and I believe he will be adopted quickly. He is just such a cute, sweet, happy boy full of joy and love. He would love a home of his own that can catch him up on the love and attention he never got as a baby. He loves fetch and toys and love and giving kisses so we do believe that he will make an absolutely wonderful addition to any family that wants a baby to love and spoil. Max is very treat motivated and wants nothing more than to have someone to play with and love.    Adoption fee $300 includes neuter, age appropriate vaccinations (4 for puppies), deworming, microchip, rabies, collar and leash, training information, and all the support you need.
