Hi! My name is Cora, and I’m looking for my forever home. My friends and I were rescued after being saved from a tough situation where our owner threatened to leave us at a high-kill shelter in rural Georgia. A kind-hearted good Samaritan stepped in and took us in, but when she became overwhelmed—and Hurricane Helene hit—she reached out for help. That’s when BCAA came to our rescue, and I’m so grateful they did!I’m about 18 months old, weigh just under 18 pounds, and shouldn’t get much bigger. I’m likely a poodle mix with some other small breeds, such as Maltese, Bichon, Yorkie, or Chihuahua. Some might consider us hypoallergenic, but because of our unknown mixes, you’d need to test that to be sure. Whatever my mix is, my foster mom says I’m super cute!I’m shy when first meeting new people, but once I warm up, I really love attention. When we arrived at our foster home, I had some hair loss from fleas and our living conditions, but BCAA is helping me recover beautifully.I get along well with other dogs and would love to have another dog in my new home to help me feel secure and happy. While I’ve shown some curiosity about cats, I haven’t bothered them. I share a crate with my buddy Calvin and do well with the schedule, having very few accidents. I eat side by side with my friends without any issues—I do love my food!I’ve never used a leash before, and it’s a bit scary for me, so a secure fenced yard is a must.
