Youngster Damien came to us a matted mess and in need of immediate grooming… wait til you see the after photos, you won’t recognize him! He just celebrated his 2nd birthday on 4/9 just before being surrendered. His owner left for college and elderly family members were unable to care for him properly. He’s a little anxious and barks at first with strangers but warms up VERY fast and is a clingy Velcro boy. He was purchased from a pet store as a maltipoo though he definitely looks more Poo than Malt. 13lbs, non-shedding, getting neutered and updated on shots this week. He likes other dogs, was mostly using wee wee pads but goes outside as well, and is a social needy guy who dances for attention. Say “cheese”! 🧀 📸 Meet Cheddar, the scaredy-doodle! This young man was abandoned locally, his background a mystery. He was already neutered and recently groomed but no one came to claim him at the shelter 🤷‍♀️. He is a nervous guy who can get defensive with quick movements and some handling/being picked up but sweet and needy if allowed to warm up and come to you on his terms. He stares at you and has full conversations like he’s trying to desperately communicate something but we aren’t sure exactly what. Is he hungry? Want a walk? Playtime? Did Timmy fall down the well? 🤷‍♀️. He definitely looks like he was loved and cared for at one point and we wish he could actually talk and tell us his story. He’s warming up to other dogs and even starting to play with them a little and we can see he has great potential. We think he’s a mini golden doodle, mini labradoodle, or maybe just a big mini poodle, about 22lbs and 2 years old. He’s seen out vet (that was a bit dramatic 😳 a muzzle was involved), been updated on shots and is ready to find a calmer adult home that will go slow, respect his space and give him time to bond and adjust. Weighing just 15 pounds, Flash has found comfort in a loving and patient foster home, where he's doing great! This cutie walks nicely on a leash and enjoys car rides and playing with toys. Flash’s ideal home would be with adults or older teens who can offer him a calm and predictable environment. Flash’s owner was male and, believe it or not, he is most comfortable with them. Young children, while wonderful, would be a bit too much for this sensitive soul. Flash would do best as an only dog so that he can calmly acclimate to his home. **Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once adoption is approved, dogs travel to the United States through legal and fully compliant international transport procedures. Video calls are available, and adopters can communicate in real time with our rescue team through official organizational channels and apps throughout the process. **Name: Rian Estimated Age: Approximately 6 years old (age is estimated) Gender / Spay Status: Female / Spayed Weight: 3 kg (about 6.6 lbs) Breed: Poodle **Background & Health Notes Rian was rescued from an illegal puppy mill on Ganghwa Island. Based on her condition and background, it is highly likely that she was used as a breeding dog and may have given birth multiple times. At the time of rescue, Rian did not appear to be in good health. However, with consistent care and attention from the rescue team, her overall condition has significantly improved, and she is now stable and well cared for. Her age is an estimate, as dogs from illegal breeding facilities rarely come with accurate records. The environment she lived in was extremely poor, and she has significant dental damage. This is a common characteristic seen in dogs rescued from puppy mills, often caused by repetitive stress behaviors such as biting and chewing metal cage bars over long periods of confinement. **Personality & Temperament Rian is a very gentle, calm, and affectionate dog who prefers staying close to her caregiver. She shows little interest in other animals and enjoys quiet companionship with people. She tolerates handling extremely well and allows touch anywhere on her body, making her safe and gentle even around children. Her energy level is low. Indoors, she is content to sit quietly and be petted, with no destructive behaviors. While she does enjoy walks, she does not require high levels of activity. This precious little girl is 1-2 yrs old and weighs 11 lbs. Cameo was found as a stray on the streets of TX and was saved by Shaggy Dog Rescue. She has made her way to Norwalk, CT where she is living in a foster home with one other dog. She is a poodle mix with 3 other breeds thrown in for good luck. Cameo (aka Cammie) is a very sweet and affectionate girl and loves her toys- she will run around the house and squeak her favorite ones! She is slightly shy when meeting new people but can be very quickly won over with a treat. She loves her treats and is very smart- and has mastered new tricks/commands with ease... as long as a tasty treat is involved! She likes other dogs and will share with her dog bed or spot on the couch with her buddies, but prefers to steal all the toys for herself! She is a relatively laid back dog who will play for a little while and then really enjoys a good nap on the couch next to or on top of her foster mom! She walks really well on a leash and also loves to run around the yard and explore.
