Meet Owen!Owen is a 1.5-year-old, 40 lb Standard Poodle with a heart full of love and a spirit ready to embrace his new life. Purchased from a breeder, Owen spent his entire life outside, neglected and isolated. Now, he’s finally learning what it means to be part of a family.Despite his rough start, Owen is sweet-natured and eager to please. He’s doing well with house training but is still unsure about the crate, as he was previously kept in a kennel. He gets along great with other dogs but is a bit nervous around cats. Full of youthful energy, he loves to run, play, and explore—but his favorite thing is snuggling up next to his people. Wherever you go, Owen is sure to follow, soaking in the love and attention he never had before.Owen is still learning to trust and be loved, but with patience and kindness, he will blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion he was always meant to be. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
