Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This resilient 7-year-old poodle has been through a lot but is now ready for a loving home. Found on the streets with one of the worst cases of matting we’ve ever seen, his hair was so long it touched the ground. Sadly, neighborhood kids threw rocks at him as he ran through the streets, terrified and alone. It took an experienced trapper to safely bring him to our facility, where he arrived shaking and too scared to be touched by anyone. However, with time, patience, and care, he has blossomed into a wonderful companion. He now enjoys daily walks, loves being pet, gets the excitement zoomies, and gets along well with other dogs. He is a laid-back boy who especially gets excited for his leash time, happily joining other dogs on walks. He seems to be potty/house trained, as he will wait to use the bathroom when he gets walked. Fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, this sweet poodle is ready to find his forever home. His adoption fee is $300. Could you be the one to give him the love he deserves?  Marley is currently in Texas, but transport is available to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note that an additional transport fee of $225 applies. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 12:09 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This little one is named Ollie.Ollie is estimated to be 3 years old.  He is house trained, neutered and walks on a leash.  He loves to be outside and go for walks.  His foster Mom says he is very smart! He has met other dogs and is calm around them.Ollie is coming out of his shell, but is still shy.  He would benefit from a quiet home with another dog who can teach him how to be a dog.  Small kids would probably be too scary for him at this point.Ollie has lots of potential to be a wonderful pet for someone who is patient and has lots of TLC to give.  Can you open your heart to Ollie?  He would be forever grateful for the chance to be someone's treasured pup.Adoption Fee:  $300.....covers vaccinations and neutering.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 17, 2024, 7:23 pm

Story
Incoming cuteness!! Meet LEONARDO, an absolutely adorable little mixed breed boy looking for a home. Our best guess on breed is a Schnoodle -- a poodle/schnauzer mix. We can assure you he does have eyes underneath all that hair, he's scheduled for a grooming. He has a lovely black coat with a silver stripe down his back. Leonardo is still a pup, around 11 months old and currently 12 pounds. He's fully grown but a little too skinny, he needs to add a pound or two. Leonardo is a little on the timid side and has never known life as an only dog, he needs a home with another friendly playful small dog. Leonardo is a playful boy who loves toys. His playful energy may be too much for a senior looking for a lap sitter. Leonardo will require regular grooming to keep him from becoming a matted mess. If you would like to meet Leonardo, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee. Story
Meet Penelope! Penelope is a sweet, 4-year-old, 6-pound Mini Poodle who is discovering the world for the first time-and she's so excited to learn and grow! As a former puppy mill mom, Penelope is still adjusting to her new life and is taking it one day at a time. While she may be a little unsure of her surroundings, she's already making amazing progress. With gentle, patient care, Penelope is blossoming into the loving companion she was always meant to be. She's currently working on leash training and potty training, but she's a quick learner and eager to please. With time, she'll become the confident little princess she deserves to be! Penelope is a true cuddle bug. She loves soft blankets, delicious meals, and playing with her foster dog sibling. She'd thrive in a home with another small, playful dog and would enjoy a family with kids aged 6 and up, who can offer her the gentle attention she needs. Though she's okay with a crate, Penelope would much rather curl up in a cozy bed-preferably next to you! She enjoys car rides and is fine being left unsupervised around the house. More than anything, Penelope loves to be close to her person, and she's always ready to be your little shadow. Penelope may need some extra TLC as she continues to adjust, but in return, she'll be the most devoted and loving companion you could ask for. With the right family, she's going to thrive and bring endless joy to her forever home. Penelope is currently being fostered in Cincinnati Ohio. Her adoption fee is $450. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Uno would do best as an only dog or with a submissive dog due to his energy and love of claiming his toys. He is missing an eye because he got into an altercation with a big dog that didn't like his attitude! He is crate trained and potties outside, but he does mark in the house with other males dogs present. he wears a belly band with no issues. Leash skills have improved and we just step away from dogs on the walk and redirect him. He could be leashed walked and be an only dog. He can coexist with other dogs with management of toys. He eats in his crate. If you have a fence with dogs on the other side, will take him awhile to get used to them without acting a fool. He is a fantastic companion in the right home. He is loving and loves affections. His behaviors of wanting to be King can be managed by experience pet owner. Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped. The rescue does not adopt out to properties with invisible fences or tie outs.
