Story
MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogsSay…. CHEESE! Cheese is 7 months old TODAY! She’s a mini-blue Merle labradoodle according to the breeder paperwork. Where “Merle” comes into play from either a lab or a poodle is beyond us, but ok… Regardless of what her mutt makeup is, CHEESE is as cute as they come! We are thrilled both she and her brother Mac were saved from the life their parents lived - bred again and again making profit-puppies for greed. Instead, both Mac & Cheese will live their lives as beloved pets exclusively! While their first few months weren’t ideal, they’ve been in our care about a month now and things are already looking way, way up! Cheese has settled in nicely at her foster home. She’s learning how to potty outside exclusively, she’s learned from her foster brother Harley how to romp and play and cut-up. She’s learned from her foster parents that couch time is the best time and pets… forget about it. Lovin’ is her favorite thing!! Cheese started out shy but hopeful. She wanted very much from day one to see what us people were all about… she just wasn’t sure what to make of everything after being ignored for the most part by the breeder who raised her. She’s quickly learned that nice people do exist! She’s also learned that the life of a puppy consists of lovin’, eatin’, playin’, pottyin’, on repeat! Not too shabby, eh, Cheese?! If you’re interested in meeting Cheese, if you’d like to be the forever family who continues to show her what life as a cherished member of a family entails, please apply @ maxxandme.org Cheese is friendly with everyone and everything (no cat or small animal history).November 3, 2024, 8:21 pm

Story
Meet Rusty! He loves to run around outside and would probably spend hours running around the backyard if I let him. He walks well on a leash and is very food motivated. He's crate trained and does utilize it as a safe place. He does resource guard but so far it's only been with food and that's been easily manageable by feeding separately in his kennel. Rusty does well with the dogs he's met so far and does best with a slow introduction. He can take a little bit to warm up to new people, but he will absolutely be your shadow once he's comfortable. He's a sweet old man and can occasionally be a little grumpy, but he loves to be held and cuddle on the couch. Apply to adopt at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/Dog All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats over 8 months of age, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Reef is very young (under a year)  apricot poodle mix. This little 8lb powerhouse is determined to enjoy life, no matter what it throws at him.  Reef is looking for a patient home that has time to continue to spoil him in the manner he is accustomed. He is currently fostered with numerous other pups. His ideal home would be one that mommy/daddy are home most of the time and that doesn't mind a sweet, loving, velcro dog.  Unlimited kisses are the reward.  Some things we know about Reef are that he is differently abled. He appears to have a deformity in his spine or was possibly crated for long periods of time but, that doesn't slow him down any. It just makes him look a bit wonky while on the run. Reef wears a diaper while indoors, as he doesn't seem to have a party bladder and it keeps messes to a minimum. Foster is giving him multiple meals throughout the day to help him with his nutritional needs. Reef is available for a foster to adopt while the rescue continues to tend to his medical needs. If you are the special family that gets lucky enough to give this boy the home he deserves, the rewards will be big. Rescue will cover regular vaccinations, neuter and current medical needs till adopted.
