Story
Finley is being fostered in PA. Finley is a very sweet, gentle, 8 year old mixed breed boy who loves all people and gets along great with other dogs and cats. He is much more interested in his human and being right with his human than he is about other animals. Finley is a spry, healthy little man who was excellent for his grooming and at his first vet appointment where he had blood drawn and was given vaccines. Everyone comments on how sweet he is and his foster mom thinks he's pretty much perfect. Finley has some vision and is very able to follow his foster mom all over the house. He quickly learned how to go up stairs and he can come down them well now, unless they are new to him. He is apprehensive on unfamiliar stairs and needs help getting started but then he's fine. Finley has sporadic skin issues that seem to cause his hair to be a bit thinner on his back end and belly. These issues may be caused by seasonal allergies but we are not exactly certain of the cause yet. Finley appears to understand potty training but because he is not neutered, he is marking a little, living in a house with other dogs, but he wears a belly band very well. This should improve significantly after he is neutered. Finley is scheduled to be neutered on November 20th and then he will be all set to find his forever family. They will be very lucky people to add this adorable man to their home. He has so much to give and wants nothing more than to be your best friend. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! If you are looking for a fun, energetic and playful pup, then Sassy is your girl. This 6 to 8-month-old, 16lb. mini poodle mix puppy is raring to go! She was found as a stray in terrible condition, but after a few months of love and care, she has blossomed into a wonderful little girl with a beautiful buttercream color coat. She may get a few pounds bigger, but we think she will remain pretty small. This girl loves playing with toys and other young playful and highly active dogs, loves tug-of-war and running. She does have a tendency to jump so if the home has kids, they need to be older and be able to handle a jumping dog until she is trained. Her leash walking is a "practice makes perfect" kinda thing, and we think she will keep getting better. She is crate trained and house trained, but potty breaks every few hours would be best as well as continuing her socialization with people and other dogs. Obedience training is highly recommended. Sassy would love another young and playful dog sibling. She would be too much energy for a senior dog in a home. A fenced yard is also important so Sassy can run around and burn off puppy energy. Since she is a poodle mix, she is a low shedder and will need regular brushing and grooming. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe your active family has the time, energy and love to devote to raising an energetic puppy, please send in an application and let us know more about your family.
