Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogBiography Important Information Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! My name is Tessa, and I am little Poodle girl who is 6 years old, and I weigh 11 pounds. I am very afraid of this big new world so an all-adult home and a sibling to teach me the ropes will be ideal. If you have been waiting for a gorgeous Poodle girl, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Love, Tessa 021724-11  November 5, 2024, 9:56 pm

Story
HIGHLIGHTS:Prefers to be the only dog in the homeNeeds a fenced-in backyardNeeds a quiet homeMeet Tate, a 13-pound male Miniature Poodle who is so adorable, he barely looks real ... more like a stuffed animal come to life. With his sweet and shy demeanor, Tate can often be found standing curiously at the front of his kennel, hoping someone will come by to show him a little love.Though he’s a bit shy with touch right now, Tate’s curiosity is his guiding light, helping him warm up to new experiences and people fairly quickly. He just needs to know that he is safe and loved. Tate does wonderfully outside in the yard, where he enjoys sniffing around and exploring his new world at his own pace. He has started to get comfortable walking on leash, but gets scared sometimes and will need some work on that in his new home.Tate will thrive in a calm and patient home where he can slowly grow into the loyal companion he’s meant to be. He prefers to be an only dog, so meetings with another dog will be considered on a case-by-case basis and involve a meeting with his potential sibling. Are you ready to offer Tate the loving and supportive environment he deserves? This little guy is eager to find his forever home where he can blossom into the best friend you’ve been waiting for.- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
