Meet Napoleon Dynamite! And yes, the name fits, this little guy has clearly been practicing his dance moves because he loves standing up on his hind legs and prancing around the house. Napoleon may be small, but he’s got a big personality that’s starting to shine more and more every day. Once he feels safe, he turns into a goofy, playful little guy who loves bouncing around you, going for walks, zooming in the backyard, and scratching himself against your feet. Napoleon’s past hasn’t been the easiest. Before coming to us, he survived a serious attack from another dog and was covered in wounds. Because of that, he’s still a little sensitive around bigger dogs and would likely be happiest as the only dog in his home. In his foster home he does coexist with the resident dogs who politely ignore him, and he loves his foster cat sibling and we think he’d do well with feline siblings! Watching his confidence grow has been pretty special.Napoleon can be shy when meeting new people, but once you’re in his circle he’s a sweet, loyal little shadow. He’s especially fond of the ladies and has loved every woman he’s met so far—as long as they move slowly and give him a moment to get comfortable. Men are still a bit scary for him right now, but he is learning that they come with lots of tasty treats. He’s doing wonderfully with the basics, he’s quiet as a mouse in his crate, appears to be potty trained, and has been great with gentle handling like being picked up when his foster mom needs to. Most of all, Napoleon just needs a patient home that will let him keep building confidence and show the silly, loving dog we know he is. Daisy is an adorable, 2 year old, 9 lb Mini Poodle mix. The Texas vets said she most closely resembles a Mini Goldendoodle based on her coat, face shape, and overall structure. That said, we want to be transparent that we do not DNA test our rescue dogs. Breed is always our best visual and professional assessment, not a guarantee — and with mixes like Daisy, there can be a variety of breeds in the background that make her the unique little pup she is! This little cutie has quite the mysterious past — she was shockingly found as a stray in Texas wearing a fancy collar (with no tags), but sadly, no one ever came looking for her. It’s hard to imagine how a dog this special ended up on her own, but we’re so grateful she’s now safe and getting her second chance. Daisy is as sweet as they come. She is incredibly friendly with both people and other dogs, with a happy, social, and easygoing nature. At just 9 pounds, Daisy is the perfect pint-sized pup with a big heart. She’s ready to leave her past behind and start fresh with a family who will adore her as much as she deserves. Daisy is up to date on her vaccinations, has been fully vetted, is healthy, heartworm negative, and is spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
