Story
Ollie came to our local shelter a matted shut down mess at only a yr old. He was pulled and taken to our groomers immidiatly. He's very sweet and does great with other dogs. Still very young and puppy like. Needs an experienced home so he will continue to get his regular groomings.  These are still high maintenence dogs though so must have "breed experience" to adopt.   **no out of state and no apartments, no children 5 and under ****PLEASE DO NOT CALL TO CHECK STATUS OF A DOG...PHONE CALLS ARE FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY. EMAIL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS ON ADOPTION AS WE DO NOT GET BACK TO PHONE CALLS ABOUT ADOPTION. Shots up to date (DHPP), wormed, micro chipped, altered (spayed/neutered).   Adoption cost for this dog is $400 We are a rescue, and although we have a facility in Modesto most of our dogs/pups are currently being fostered  in or around our area. So please be willing to make the trip to see them if you are from out of the area. Our adoption process REQUIRES that an application must first be submitted and approved prior to meeting any of our pets. Just note that we may get several responses on one pet at a time so just because you have an approved application does not mean said pet is on hold for you. One must FIRST confirm an appointment to meet the pet after an approved application has been sent. To inquire about this specific pet, please write to info@pupznpalz.org for an application. Please remember to put the pets name in the subject line when emailing, and on the top on the application. It helps us to help you that must faster. We are a group of volunteers, and ask that you please bare with us. We will get to each person just as quickly as we can. If you do not hear back from us within 24 hours, please send another request as we have been having problems with e-mail. email: info@pupznpalz.org and ask for an application for which dog you are interested in phone: 209-480-8662 (9-6 pm only please, cell phone, emergencies only please...do not call to ask status of dog, email please) **ADOPTION EVENTS: to be announced **OUR FACILITY: Located at 1430 Carpenter Lane Suite B (by appointment only as we do not have set hours)     November 26, 2024, 9:23 am

Story
We love Willie! He is a cheery, content, easy dog. His jaunty walk, curled tail, and scruffy coat always make us smile and win him lots of compliments when we are out for a walk. He likes to "fish" for leaves floating past him in the canal, sit at our feet while we eat, and trot along beside us as we putter around the yard. He needs little more than to be close to his people and enjoys life indoors. And this is where we have some difficulty, because we are not ready to be an indoor dog family. We discovered Willie at the local shelter 2 years ago. They estimated his age as 3 years, which would make him about 5 right now. The groomer, however, estimates he is closer to 8 or 9. Also, Willie had been adopted out from the shelter previously and returned because he did not get along with that family's other dog. I don't think he would like to live with cats. I think Willie is happy to be a family's one and only dog. He does not like his tail grabbed, so small children could be a problem.

Story
Ollie is such a sweet and special boy with a quiet and lovely nature. Ollie is an 1 ½ -year-old, 14-pound wheat-colored Poodle/Chihuahua mix (his mother is a Poodle and dad is a Chihuahua). Ollie is a lovable pup who will need time to adjust to his new surroundings. He thrives best in a calmer environment, ideally with another friendly dog. He loves snuggling up with other dogs, and having a canine companion would be perfect for him! Because of Ollie’s gentle, bashful demeanor, we recommend a home with adults or older teenagers. He may take his time warming up, but once he trusts you, you’ll see his sweet and gentle nature shine through. Ollies does well at the sanctuary using the doggie door to go potty outside, He will benefit from some leash training to help him build confidence. Ollie is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, making him ready for adoption! If you think you can open your heart and home to this sweet boy, come meet Ollie he promises to be an adorable addition to the family. He deserves a warm and loving environment where someone can show him lots of love. Thank you for considering adopting Ollie, he's sure to bring so much joy and companionship to the right home. Story
Meet Darling Oso, a charming 5-year-old, 18-pound White Poodle mix looking for his forever home! Rescued from a life of neglect, Oso was found in a matted condition but has since been shaved and is embracing his new beginning. He was scanned for a microchip. He had owners on record but they were moving and did not want him back! Despite his previous challenges, he has a sweet disposition, though he may be a bit shy initially. Oso will thrive in a loving environment where he can take his time adjusting to being a pampered pet, as he was accustomed to outdoor living. He is good with other dogs but would also be content as an only pet, given plenty of companionship. Oso is currently learning important skills like how to use a doggy door and responding to the command "go potty," although there may be a few accidents as he acclimates to his new surroundings. He is leash trained and requires a home with a securely fenced yard to keep him safe; he has a knack for trying to escape! Oso is microchipped, vaccinated, and will soon be neutered. He will need regular professional grooming If you're ready to shower this sweet boy with love and patience, Oso is eager to find a home where he can truly blossom. Are you the one to give him the happy life he deserves? Don't miss out on the chance to welcome Oso into your heart and home!
