We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Meet Dillion! Dillon is an 11-month-old, 18-pound miniature poodle. He is a very sweet and well-behaved dog. Dillon is energetic and likes to play with his toys, especially the ball or tug of war. He enjoys going for walks and to the dog park or running around the yard. After a day of playing, he loves to lay on your lap and cuddle. Dillon is still very much a puppy and tends to jump and be a bit mouthy, so we would recommend he does not go to a home with small children at this time. Can you give Dillon the great home he deserves? His adoption fee is $350. A refundable training deposit of $100 will be also due upon adoption. Training must be provided in a timely fashion to ensure our pups become the best canine citizens. The training deposit will be refundable within 3 months of the adoption date. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Meet Morita, this little piranha is the cutest baby you will ever meet. A little puppy full of energy and excited to make new friends. She loves to play with dogs and cats, she is usually very friendly and sociable, she adapts easily to new environments, and loves to play with balls, small stuffed animals, ropes, and anything you give her, she is in her naughty stage, and she is too adorable, easy to train, she is in potty training, she still has some accidents but it is normal in a puppy. He is also learning to walk on leash. She has no problem wearing clothes, bows or having a ponytail. She likes to sleep in a big and comfortable bed, or sleep in bed with you, she usually follows you around the house running, even if you walk, she is tiny, haha, she likes to play biting (but it doesn't hurt, it's just because she is a puppy) Intelligent, adorable, loving, she likes to give lots of kisses, she welcomes you with joy when you come home, and she knows how to ride in a car.

Paloma was found in the streets of Los Angeles. She had a few minor injuries that she has already recovered from. Paloma is about 1 year old female poodle/maltese mix. She weights 15 lbs. She may get to 20 lbs max when she is fully grown. She is spayed and her shots are up to date. Her blood work came back clean. She is in great healt! Paloma is a smart and friendly girl. In just a few weeks, she learned to use the pee pee pads, to walk on the leash, and to wait until she is walked to go potty. She sleeps in her own bed throughout the night. She gets along with my three dogs. I have taken her to hang out with family and friends, and she loves EVERYONE. Paloma enjoys playing with other small dogs and kids. I have not introduced her to large dogs or cats, but I think she will be fine with both. She loves chewing on toys. She is not destructive, but she has stolen a few socks to play with them. Asking for a $250 rehoming fee to help me cover her sterilization and vet bills.

How Benjamin Button arrived: Benjamin Button was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on 10/25/24. He was briefly adopted and returned to our care. Why Benjamin Button is the one for you:Benjamin Button has been social and easy to handle since his arrival at San Diego Humane Society. He's shown a calm and cooperative nature, making it easy for staff to care for him. With his gentle demeanor and adaptability, Benjamin Button would be a fantastic companion for someone looking for a well-mannered pet. During his brief adoption, Benjamin Button was a bit scared by cats in the home so he might need time to adjust to being with cats. He does however, love dogs! Benjamin is also visually impaired and may need some occasional guidance when it comes to getting around. This sweet boy still loves his walks and enjoys being out in the world. He is such a gem! Watson is a purebred 4 years old Mini-poodle. He is loving, affectionate and playful! However, he was diagnosed with a seizure condition since he was 1.5 years old. He has been on medication since then. Today, he takes 4-types of medications twice a day. He has been treated and monitored under a specialty veterinarian neurologist locally. He gets his annual checkup and also 2 of the 4 medications need semi-annual blood work to make sure the dosages are appropriate. With the medication, he has mild seizures about every other month. Unfortunately, our family is in a situation that we can't accommodate him anymore. He is in San Diego and pet fee will be waived if a local family adopts him. Otherwise, it will be just the shipping charge there might be. Please reach out for any questions.
