Story
Meet the adorable Muffin! She is a 1/2-year-old, 19 pound, white, Poodle mix. She was found as a stray and was horribly matted. This pretty girl had to be shaved but her coat is growing in nicely. No more neglect for this sweet gal! She will require regular professional grooming. She does enjoy gentle play with smaller dogs but she prefers human companionship over anything else. She would be happiest in a home where someone is with her most of the time. She loves people of all ages. Muffin is very loving and will give kisses. She would love to hang out with you by day and snuggle in your bed at night? She is a very smart girl! She uses her paws in cat like fashion to move items around. She knows how to sit and will try to train you to give her a treat! She seems to be housebroken but may require some reinforcement. She may need leash training. At the sanctuary we use the command "go potty" before taking the dogs outside to do their business. Muffin is happy to comply. This is a good habit to continue at home. She requires a securely fenced yard, as she can jump over a 3-foot fence with ease! She is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccinations. Are you ready for a new love? Muffin is waiting to fill your heart and home with love. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. Story
Banjo is a sweet 7-year-old Havanese Poodle mix who is ready to find his forever home. Banjo is a former rescue who has been through a lot, and he’s looking for a calm and understanding environment to thrive in. Banjo has a very laid-back personality and enjoys cuddling and sleeping in cozy spots. He’s a loving companion, but he would do best in a home without children, as he’s shown some aggression towards them in the past. He just needs a patient home that can give him the space and time he needs to feel safe. Banjo has a foot condition that makes walks challenging; his paw pads can crack easily. We wrap his paws when they start to bleed to keep him comfortable. He prefers short, gentle strolls or indoor playtime, and he knows how to use a doggy door to go potty, making him fairly independent. If you’re looking for a loyal friend and have a quiet home, Banjo could be the perfect match for you. Please reach out if you’re interested in giving this sweet boy a loving home.

Story
Meet Rita, a delightful 8-pound poodle mix who's ready to find her forever home! This little bundle of joy is the ultimate snuggler—she adores being carried around and curling up in your lap for cozy cuddles. Rita thrives on attention and is always eager to be by your side, making her the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loving, affectionate pet. It will take some time to see this side of her as she can be a bit shy when first meeting her, but she is a Velcro dog and likes to be by your side 24/7. She is always ready to be a part of your everyday routine. We offer out-of-state adoptions and can arrange transportation to your location, provided that the transport expenses are covered. The adoption fee for this adorable pup is $1500(+dental), which includes all veterinary costs, comprehensive care during his time with us, and ongoing training until he finds her forever home. We are waiting for her dental appointment which will add to the cost of her adoption fee, but I would love to hear from potential adopters as we wait for her to be fully vetted. Get in touch with us today and share details about yourself, the loving home you can provide, and your experience with the breed. We will be in contact with you shortly. Thank you!

Story
Milo is a very sweet but very anxious boy. He is 6 years old and has been with us since he was a puppy. He was a very quiet puppy and has accumulated many fears through the years. He is reactive to several things and doesn’t like strangers. He loves to cuddle and get pets, play, find hidden toys and treats, and has enjoyed a variety of enrichment activities. Milo needs a special home. (experience with anxious dogs preferred) He would do great in a quiet house with one or two people. We’re looking for someone who not only wants to give Milo a new home, but who wants to rehabilitate him using lots of love, patience, and positive reinforcement. (I can provide some resources to help)
