Ollie is such a sweet and special boy with a quiet and lovely nature. Ollie is an 1 ½ -year-old, 14-pound wheat-colored Poodle/Chihuahua mix (his mother is a Poodle and dad is a Chihuahua). Ollie is a lovable pup who will need time to adjust to his new surroundings. He thrives best in a calmer environment, ideally with another friendly dog. He loves snuggling up with other dogs, and having a canine companion would be perfect for him! Because of Ollie’s gentle, bashful demeanor, we recommend a home with adults or older teenagers. He may take his time warming up, but once he trusts you, you’ll see his sweet and gentle nature shine through. Ollies does well at the sanctuary using the doggie door to go potty outside, He will benefit from some leash training to help him build confidence. Ollie is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, making him ready for adoption! Little Lionel came in super dirty and matted. It looks like the poor guy was left outside quite a lot. He was picked up after someone saw him roaming the streets for a couple of weeks. Not sure if he is a little escape artist or how he made it out, but he needs a home where he can receive good care. Poodles need regular grooming to keep their coats in check. We had to have him stripped as you can see from his "before" picture how he arrived. He weighs 14 pounds and his teeth are very white, so we feel he is only around a year of age or so. Since he was a stray, we don't know if he lived with other pets, kids, etc., so new owner should be prepared for potty training, etc. upon adoption. He plays very nicely with the other dogs of his size here at the shelter and is a very friendly little dog. $350.00 adoption will help us with the cost of the vaccinations, microchipping and neuter. He has a neuter appointment on 3/6 so will be able to go home for following day.
