Paloma was found in the streets of Los Angeles. She had a few minor injuries that she has already recovered from. Paloma is about 1 year old female poodle/maltese mix. She weights 15 lbs. She may get to 20 lbs max when she is fully grown. She is spayed and her shots are up to date. Her blood work came back clean. She is in great healt! Paloma is a smart and friendly girl. In just a few weeks, she learned to use the pee pee pads, to walk on the leash, and to wait until she is walked to go potty. She sleeps in her own bed throughout the night. She gets along with my three dogs. I have taken her to hang out with family and friends, and she loves EVERYONE. Paloma enjoys playing with other small dogs and kids. I have not introduced her to large dogs or cats, but I think she will be fine with both. She loves chewing on toys. She is not destructive, but she has stolen a few socks to play with them. Asking for a $250 rehoming fee to help me cover her sterilization and vet bills.

Maury is 7-8 years old and weighs 16 lbs. He’s playful but has a calm temperament. He’s friendly and outgoing. Maury was left abandoned on the road to BAS this past summer, and had an injury to his eye. Our vet tried to save the eye but eventually had to remove the eye. He’s still adjusting to only having one eye and, while he’s social with other dogs, very active dogs may be overwhelming for him. Larry has had a tough past and is looking for someone who will love him and continue his training regimen. Larry loves his human and often wants to snuggle, get a tummy rub and have a chin scratch. He loves fetch and toys and has even been working with some puzzles. He is a smart dog and with the right training, will be a great pet. He loves going for walks, but he is reactive to other humans and dogs while out walking. Because of this, we are looking for a dedicated adopter who can continue to work on his leash reactivity, or someone who has a yard where Larry can get his exercise. Larry is a good eater and enjoys scrambled eggs as a treat. He is potty trained and will use pee pads if needed. Larry sleeps through the night and enjoys sleeping with his human. Larry does not like being crated and does have some isolation anxiety but will calm down after a bit of time. Larry will do best in a home with a patient, experienced dog owner who can spend the time to socialize him. Larry is an amazing little pup who deserves a good life after the rough start he has had. Can you give Larry the life he deserves? He is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. His adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Story

Watson is a purebred 4 years old Mini-poodle. He is loving, affectionate and playful! However, he was diagnosed with a seizure condition since he was 1.5 years old. He has been on medication since then. Today, he takes 4-types of medications twice a day. He has been treated and monitored under a specialty veterinarian neurologist locally. He gets his annual checkup and also 2 of the 4 medications need semi-annual blood work to make sure the dosages are appropriate. With the medication, he has mild seizures about every other month. Unfortunately, our family is in a situation that we can't accommodate him anymore. He is in San Diego and pet fee will be waived if a local family adopts him. Otherwise, it will be just the shipping charge there might be. Please reach out for any questions.
