Story
Meet Eric! Our young boy here who was surrendered to us. Eric is a very sweet and energetic poodle weighing in at 11 kgs. He is fully vaccinated and his coat is non shedding and hypoallergenic. Eric immediately bonded with our fosters daughter and sleeps with her and is super playful and loving with everyone. He loves going for rides in the car and displays high levels of intelligence as to where things are, understanding talk and direction, etc. Poodles are known for their high intellect and ability to learn quite fast and how to communicate to humans. Eric is no exception to this! Eric does need to be properly, fully house trained for using the bathroom as this was never taught to him. Because he is young and highly intelligent, this shouldn't be an issue for very long. If you are interested in our playful sweet Eric, please contact us through the website here to find out more!

Story
(BONDED WITH SOLSTICE)My name is CEREAL (Xiaoman) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Poodle/Tibetan Terrier mixAge: 4 yrsGender: maleWeight: 15 lbsHeight: 16 inchesCountry of origin: ChinaHighlight(s): Affectionate, lively, clingy, curious, obedient I'm a curious little guy with a lively bounce in my step. My name Xiaoman means grain buds? Cute hunh? It is a Chinese term used during Summertime. Hence the name Cereal.A person who lives in the neighborhood of where we were found as strays saw us. Over the past four years, we were witnessed living together, relying on occasional leftover food from neighbors. This person always felt sorry for us, but lacked the means, ability, and courage to rescue us, all the while feeling guilty and helpless. Earlier this year, this lovely person noticed our condition deteriorating. We were navigating busy streets, scavenging from trash cans, and drinking dirty water mixed with food scraps and garbage. Our fur started getting matted and falling out, and my pal Lixia developed a bloody eye growth.Determined to save us, our overseeing angel posted our situation on social media. A rescuer  saw the plea and decided to help rescue us. We were transported to a nearby hospital for checkups and treatment. We were both severely malnourished and had poor coat conditions. We were properly treated and Lixia underwent surgery for his eye problem. After treatment, we were discharged. Now our rescuer has taken us back to her town for foster care, until we can find a home together. I have been shaved down to treat my skin and remove all the mats. No worries, it will grow back for new photos later. My most recent vet visit, confirmed my good health. My dental health is generally good with a pending detailed exam upcoming.I tend toward the affectionate, but can be a little clingy, as I show slight separation anxiety. This should resolve in time with a little consistent work. I'm an obedient little boy, who will happily take cues on what you want. Now that I've been getting socialized, I have improved significantly on my housetraining skills. My friend Lixia and I must be adopted together, as we are pretty bonded after surviving the streets together. We would likely adapt to most any home. We get along with other dogs, though we haven't been introduced to cats. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:My vaccination series will be complete in a several weeks. I will soon be neutered, though not yet microchipped. Our adoption fee together is $1500.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes our transportation to Canada, if we are able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2081368##

Story
Hello. My name is Myra and below you'll find some info about me:Breed: Poodle/Terrier mixAge: 3 yearsGender: femaleWeight: 12 kg (27 pounds)Height: 35 cmCountry of origin: ChinaHighlights: friendly, loving, playful, smart, goofy If you like loving, goofy girly dogs, then come and get me.Having not done anything wrong, I was abandoned at a terrible shelter in China when I was a young pup. This sadly occurs in my country when people tire of having an animal. I stayed there for about a year and half until my rescuer took all of us dogs from that awful shelter to her own. She could no longer take the fact of how horribly we were treated and mistreated at that shelter.Life at my rescuer’s shelter is so much better and lucky me, my life is going to change completely for the better now, because my rescuer is sendint me to a loving foster home in Canada! Wooohoooo.I am a friendly and playful pup. Smart too. I do fine with other dogs, but those hissy, mewy things, well... I give them a what for and chase them. So, best to avoid a home with those critters. I am good with my rescuer's young daughter, so dog savvy kids are probably ok. I walk well on leash too.I just had a dental cleaning early December. The vet pulled a couple loose teeth. I am not affected by it though. I am just singing the song, all I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth. Hahaa.I'm still pretty young, so hoping we could find some fun activities to get out and do. Videos coming. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yes. Await videoCats: No, will chase cats.Kids: unknown, but good with the rescuer’s young daughter. Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.TrainingLeash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: in process. Please help me continue to learn. Health notes: I am missing a few front teeth, but it does not affect.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.
