Name: Osito  Age: 5 years  Sex: Neutered Male  Breed: Poodle mix  Weight: Approx 8 pounds Adoption fee: $375 (altered, vaccines up to date, microchipped, vet checked) Location: Shelter location 1102 W Hatcher Rd open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm  Compatibility with other dogs: Good Compatibility with cats: Unknown Compatibility with kids: Good, Intro Required Energy level: Moderate    Osito came to us in need of a fresh start, and we are very excited to get to help him along his way. Osito came to us badly matted and in need of a haircut. Underneath all the matting, we could tell this poor boy was very thin and also in need of a few really good meals. Osito is understandably a bit timid, but so very sweet. He is going to have so much love to give his lucky new family. Osito loves food and is happy to eat, so he is well on his way to gaining the weight he so badly needs to put on. Osito also got a haircut and though he was very scared during the process, his badly matted hair is gone, giving his coat a fresh start! He has eyes that will melt your heart the moment you meet him. Osito will need a patient groomer to take wonderful care of him regularly, so he learns to love it and never ends up in that condition again. Osito is great with dogs of all sizes and happy to share his home with a canine companion. He has lived with kids and would be happy to meet kids who do not push his boundaries. Osito is looking forward to a new life as a spoiled pup with lots of love and food in his future! To meet Osito please come to the shelter anytime during business hours, no appointment needed.    **DON'T FALL VICTIM TO FRAUD - Scammers have been responding to comments asking individuals to private message them for more information or post spam sites. Story
How cute is teddy! He is about 6 years old and a poodle mix. He is such a sweet happy boy! Teddy is a hoot! He loves to bury himself under blankets and couch cushions, hide in his little bed and steal food to take with him in his hiding areas. Food makes him so happy and he will dance for treats. He is crate trained and pad trained. Teddy can be moody at times with his treats he hides and would require a patient home until he is comfortable. No young kids. His adoption fee is $200 and that includes his neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip and 30 days free pet insurance. To meet him text his foster mom at 602-908-6215.December 19, 2024, 11:50 am

Story
Elliot is an endearing dog who came to us as a stray. He was in very rough condition when he arrived. While we were able to clean him up and groom him and have him treated by our veterinarian, Elliot did suffer some permanent damage to his eyes. He sees fairly well although we feel he probably has some minor vision loss due to his neglect. He is a young boy believed to be about three years old. He will need eye drops daily to keep his eyes from deteriorating further as they get very dry. Other than that, he is a healthy boy who needs lots of love and kindness. He will become very devoted to you and give you back as much as you give him, probably more. We believe he was raised as an only dog as he is socially uncertain about how to deal with other dogs, but he would do OK with another dog that was gentle with him. We feel that Elliot will blossom in a home and become a happier and more playful companion, but he does have some learning to do. He likes to go for walks and he walks well on a leash and does not pull. Like many of our rescued dogs we are not sure how well house trained Elliot is. But with gentle persuasion, some consistency, structure and praise he should be easy to train. He is very eager to please. Elliot is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Elliot's's adoption fee is $350 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. Story
Kash could be possibly described as a dignified clown. Or possibly one of those boys who never grows up. Like Peter Pan? He is an absolute doll. He's sweet and loving, funny and playful, loving and snuggly. He came to us as a found dog. He was microchipped and his owners denied owning him. His mouth was full of rotted teeth. Every one of them had to be pulled (He still eats dry food!) he was extremely matted as well. He deserves so much better. He's such a good boy and will fit well into almost any home. He's fully vetted and needs for nothing but a loving home and family. Kash is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Kash's adoption fee is $325 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee.
