Story
Animal Profile: Remy is an adorable purebred Miniature Pinscher who is estimated to be around 3 years old and weighs 13lbs. He would up in a southern California shelter after he was brought into a local emergency vet after he was possibly hit by a car. Remy was treated for possible fractured ribs when he arrived at the shelter, but has since recovered. He is very friendly with people and other dogs, and we look forward to helping him find the best home here in the PNW! Foster Update: Rembrandt (or Remy) can be shy with humans at first, but is friendly and affectionate and enjoys belly rubs once he warms up. Like most little dogs, Remy does not appreciate when humans stick their giant hands out his tiny head.  He’ll submit and let you pick him up still, but a little shy if reached or grabbed at too fast. Remy  loves to play fetch inside with soft toys. He can do it next to other dogs or one on one with a human. He is clear to be homed with cats. He loves being outside and gets extra excited when he sees a bird, so some prey drive exists, but not towards cats. He sleeps through the night in his crate and only whistle whines a bit when first put inside. He does cuddle once he gets some fetch zoomies out of his system. Remy is friendly with dogs and humans, but we would prefer to place him in a home with no kids or older children (10+).  Marking indoors has been an issue with Remy in his foster home; we are hopeful that after his recent neuter, this behavior resolves with consistency. Remy should always go out to go potty when coming out of his crate and closely monitored to make sure that he doesn't practice marking.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, andhealth certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from euthanasia at SBC in California, arriving to foster care in Seattle on 02/13/25.  This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 13, 2025, 12:47 am

Story
Available in TX only! Thunder is a sweet and cautious rescue dog who was found as a stray along with his two siblings. Initially shy around strangers, Thunder takes time to feel safe and requires a patient adopter who can help him overcome his fearfulness. He is best suited for a calm home without frequent visitors or high levels of activity outside the home. Thunder experiences car sickness and would need medication for long trips. Once trust is established, Thunder reveals his affectionate nature. He loves to cuddle and prefers sleeping close to his family, though he can be crated if necessary. Fully housebroken, Thunder is a playful dog who enjoys games of fetch, chew toys, and spending time outdoors. He would thrive in a home with a yard where he can run and play freely. His friendly demeanor extends to other dogs, making him an excellent companion for a household with canine siblings. Thunder's ideal adopter will be understanding of his need for a consistent and reassuring environment. With time, patience, and love, Thunder will flourish as a loyal and loving member of his forever family. To apply directly for Thunder click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-524 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Mrs. Potts from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 8 year old female Mini Pinscher - Chihuahua mix.  I am about 3.5 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive every day and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,195 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application.     November 6, 2024, 4:57 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Benji the Miniature Pinscher-Chihuahua mix Background Benji , a sweet and shy 4-year-old boy, was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Arizona, where he was found in a box with his two siblings, abandoned on the shelter's counter. After being rescued, Benji and his siblings were nurtured back to health in a foster home. With time, Benji has become more outgoing, enjoys walking, and truly embraces life. However, he is still very shy around new people. Benji's past has made him cautious, and he now needs a person who can provide him with the patience, unconditional love, and understanding he deserves in a loving home. From Benjis foster "Benji is a sensitive sweetheart who is still recovering from past trauma and is a little afraid of new situations. He is affectionate and will gently paw at you to ask for head massages and back scratches. Benji is a fast walker and could accompany a jogger on short distances. He has great energy and also loves his downtime, so he enjoys cuddling up next to you on the couch. He loves his toys and his foster family. Benji needs an adult-only home, without children, cats, or other small animals. Someone who works from home and has experience with rescued, fearful dogs would be ideal."   Benji  has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies. To apply to adopt Benji, he has a $595.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs.  Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.      https ://rompinpawsrescue.com  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 4:31 pm

Story
Quick Facts Name: Hyeji Age: 3 years old (approximate)  Gender: Female  Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Miniature Pinscher Mix  Color: Black Weight: 7.5kg  My Journey I was found wandering in Miryang, South Korea and taken to a shelter in July 2024. I waited patiently for months, but no one came for me. In October 2024, I was placed on the euthanasia list—until a group of kindhearted people came together to save me and 14 of my friends! I was the smallest pup in the group, and now, I’m ready to find my perfect family. My Health Fully vaccinated (October 2024) Spayed Heartworm negative (November 2024)  My Personality I might take a little time to get to know you, but once we become friends, I’ll stick by your side like a shadow! I love following my favorite humans around the house, and if you sit down, I’ll happily snuggle up next to you. I have a calm and gentle personality, and I prefer relaxing to rough play. I love cozy blankets and will happily burrow under them for a good nap. At night, I like to cuddle up close—it makes me feel warm and safe. When I meet new dogs, I politely say hello but usually prefer to observe rather than join in on the fun. I’m not sure how I feel about cats yet, but I’m always gentle and respectful. My Favorite Things Snuggling & Naps – I love curling up next to my favorite human. Calm Walks – I’m great on a leash and love peaceful strolls. Warm Blankets – The cozier, the better!  Life at Home I’m polite and well-mannered indoors. I prefer outdoor potty breaks, and I’m quiet and relaxed in my kennel when needed. While I used to bark in the shelter (it was a stressful place!), I’m actually very quiet at home. I feel safe and secure when I’m with my people, and I settle in beautifully. My Ideal Home I’m looking for a gentle and loving family who will appreciate my sweet and affectionate nature. A Calm & Cozy Environment – I love peace and quiet, so a relaxed home would be perfect for me. A Snuggle Buddy – I thrive on affection and love being close to my humans. A Patient & Kind Companion – I warm up at my own pace, but once I do, I’m all yours! Special Notes If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal, and loving little companion, I might just be the perfect match for you! I can’t wait to find my forever home where I can snuggle, relax, and be loved. ##2318989##
