Story
(Bonded to Kiddo) Roscoe and his best friend Kiddo are a spunky bonded pair who found their way to us after their owner could no longer care for them. These “young seniors” have clearly known love and stability and are ready to continue that journey with their next forever family. Every morning this dynamic duo emerges from their cozy cocoons, ready to greet the day. Roscoe, the ball-obsessed athlete of the pair, comes fully equipped with his own ball launcher—and all he needs now is a dedicated human to keep up with his enthusiasm! Here are two videos of Roscoe playing fetch: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xk3ylau0D8A https://www.youtube.com/shorts/KnvG5KxY-fg Kiddo can walk on her own and also has her very own custom wheelchair should her back legs fail to support her. Her mobility challenges don’t slow her down — she’s strong, confident, and full of life. Both Roscoe and Kiddo have a soft spot for treats and stuffed Kongs and will happily trade kisses for snacks. Their bond with each other is something truly special—they gently cuddle and play together, but they can also roughhouse like pups half their age. If you’re looking to welcome not one, but two incredible dogs into your heart and home, Roscoe and Kiddo are ready to meet you. To set up a no-obligation "meet and greet," fill out an application at wimberleywagrescue.org.

Story
Hello! Found this wonderful pup wandering around an industrial area and he was nearly hit by a car! I tried to find the owner to no avail and decided to bring him home until a new home can be found. His breed is a mystery, but he does look like he might have some Shepard somewhere and maybe even some terrier, does look like a mini pincer. He’s a super cuddler and enjoys being loved on. My kids have affectionately named him Fred. And he does respond well to commands sit and wait. We unfortunately cannot keep him due to financial strain. Please help this cute little guy out in becoming his forever owners!

Story
Gisele… A purebred Miniature Pinscher, approximately ten years old, pulled from the streets of Corpus Christi after months of surviving off scraps at a food truck lot- until even that wasn’t welcome anymore. When she came to us, she weighed just six pounds. She had two teeth left- both rotting- a nasal fistula (a hole between her mouth and nose), and multiple mammary tumors, one as large as a clementine. We believe she was used for breeding and then discarded when she was no longer useful. We took her in expecting hospice. We simply wanted to provide comfort and a safe place for her to rest. But last week changed everything. She had her remaining teeth removed, her fistula repaired, and the largest mass taken out. And almost immediately, she changed. Gisele is a different dog now. She runs. She eats without pain. She’s putting on weight. She’s bright in a way she probably hasn’t been in years. She’s headed to a hospice foster this weekend-where we once believed she would live out her remaining months. But now… we’re not so sure. It no longer feels like the end of her story. It feels like the beginning of something we didn’t expect. Gisele is a very typical Miniature Pinscher in one important way: she chooses her person. She is gentle with everyone, but she has made her choice- and she is devoted. She's currently following Jill around everywhere, quiet, certain, and never far behind. So we’re asking the world to consider her. If you’re looking for a dog who will be your shadow, your constant, your small steady companion- Gisele may be it. No, she may not have 10–15 years ahead of her. But the years she has matter just as much. Why are the last few years any less important than the first few? She will be loyal and true to her person in a way that leaves no doubt you are hers. We thought we were giving her a place to say goodbye. Now we’re hoping to find the person she gets to call home. Gizelle's adoption fee has been waived for just the right family.

Story
Elvis 5-year-old 16lbs Male Chihuahua Elvis may be a little guy, but he has a heart full of sweetness. This 5-year-old Chihuahua is a gentle soul who can be a bit timid at first, but once he feels safe, his loving personality really shines through. Elvis gets along well with other well-mannered dogs and would enjoy a calm canine companion. He prefers to eat his meals alone (a true little gentleman who appreciates his personal space!) and thrives in a peaceful environment. Because of his sensitive and sometimes shy nature, Elvis would do best in a quiet home with older children or an adult-only household where he can feel secure and relaxed. With a little patience and a lot of love, Elvis will reward you with loyalty and quiet companionship. If you're looking for a sweet, low-key buddy to share your calm home and cozy evenings, Elvis might be your perfect match.
