Story
Hazel belonged to a family member that recently passed. We brought her into our family without question but have found that our busy schedules just don’t seem fair to her. She wants nothing more than to be with you, in your lap, being goofy or cuddly. She loves to burrow, can be very inquisitive, and does not bark unless deemed necessary. We are not sure how she responds to cats but she cries when she wants to get to one and they don’t come to her. We have not had her interact with any house kitties since she came to us. However, we haven’t seen an aggressive bone in this tiny little girl and feel that she would be just fine with a proper introduction.

Story
After the passing of a family member we brought Pepper into our home. She is a lively, goofy, sweet, and super smart pup. She’s about 1.5 years old. She’s very active and loves to argue with you. Our hectic schedules are not allowing us to provide for her the way that we want to. We do believe she needs more training but she is very attentive and looks at you while you speak. We feel she will pick up quickly.

Story
Minnie is a 10 year old dog who is very energetic and extremely affectionate towards people. She does not do well with other pets; it could be that she could adjust to living with another dog, but it would take time. She is a great lap dog/velcro companion that loves squeaky toys. She is housebroken and can do well for up to 7-8 hours. She does not signal when she needs to go, and needs to be on a solid routine. She is an escape artist and will sneak out of fences and slip out of the door if the opportunity presents itself. There are no medical issues, but she needs dental work that was estimated to cost between $2,000 and $4,000.

Story
NOTE: Please read our entire write-up before contacting us. If you don't know the age, breed, weight, what vet care we provide our dogs, the adoption fee, or how to apply, you have not read the write-up. Roxie Breed: Miniature Pinscher Gender: Female, spayed DOB: 8-22-22 Weight: ~7 pounds Microchipped Adoption Fee: $350 They say it's important to be smarter than your dog and, well, Roxie has definitely put her foster family to the test! She can open doors, boxes, and containers. She can climb things and get over, through, and under things in the home that were unexpected. She is an amazingly agile dog! When Roxie isn't running through the house with her foster brothers and sisters playing a wild game of chase, she sits and watches. She observes her fur family and human foster family with intelligent eyes. She plans ahead. But as long as there is a lap or shoulder to rest upon, she will crash with her buddies and hang out in a puppy pile up! When Roxie initially came to us, she had a double break in her front leg. It took a couple months to resolve the break. It has now healed beautifully and she has normal use of the leg- something two vets had been uncertain would happen! She is a fun dog, an energetic dog and is ready to learn ANYTHING! Roxie is highly intelligent and needs an active, intelligent family to continue her education, work on her self control, and help her channel her energy into healthy activities! She would be a great agility candidate and we have a lot of wonderful trainers in this area that can help you teach her! She would be great for search and rescue training, as she has an excellent nose, drive, and is small enough to go places larger dogs can't go! Roxie can climb, jump, and get through openings in gates and fences. She cannot get through a privacy fence. Because she is so small and agile we do require her adoptive home have a secure privacy fenced yard. All HEART dogs have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies, distemper, parvo, adenovirus, and hepatitis. Some have been vaccinated for Bordatella. Dogs are also provided additional medical care, as needed. This care may include amputations, wound repair, treatment for skin disorders, dental care, treatment for infection and other medical needs.January 8, 2025, 3:38 pm

Story
Ca$h was adopted from a shelter around 2020. He is a mixed breed about 5 1/2 years old. He loves going to daycare and gets excited when you say the word. He knows sit, walk, daycare, cookie and chicken. He does not care for the neighborhood dogs or strangers at first. He is loving and likes to cuddle on the couch with you. He loves to play with his toys and run and catch them. He is a house dog and loves to go outside and on walks. His human has a medical issue and can no longer care for him.
