Story
Don't you want your very own mini deer or Max the Grinch’s dog in time for Christmas? Meet Hanz! Hanz, his 4 siblings, his mom and several other dogs found their way to CRT after being saved from a 50+ dog hoarding case in Georgia. Currently, all 4 of Hanz’ siblings have been adopted, and poor Hanz is still waiting on his forever home! Hanz was born on Feb 20, 2024 and is a tall, lanky athletic guy like his mom, Greta. Hanz is currently about 15 pounds and we don't expect him to get much bigger since he's already 6 mo old. He looks just like a mini deer but we think he's a mix of Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua/Dachshund. Hanz has a gorgeous fawn colored coat and light yellow expressive eyes. Hanz follows his foster mom everywhere. His foster mom says he is super graceful and sweet! Hanz is fast as the wind and LOVES to run! He just wants to play and gets along with dogs of all sizes. Hanz would make a great jogging or hiking companion and would love to visit the local breweries with you – just hold on to your beer! He’s a great size for a camping dog or any traveling for that matter. He eats very politely and does NOT mark anything (no leg lifting). He is doing well on potty training if you take him out enough. Won’t you give Hanz a home? Hanz is UTD on vaccines, HW Negative and on HW preventative. Hanz was recently neutered. He has also been microchipped. Hanz’s adoption donation is $350.00. If you are interested in the above dog, please do not email us and tell us that you are interested, but submit an adoption application. The link for the application is below. To submit an application go here……chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/ An application must be submitted and approved before a meet-n-greet can be scheduled. Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons. They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative. Reference checks and a home visit are required so SE dogs can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA, TN, AL, GA, and MD.

Story
Toby Roby: 11 years old, 20 pounds, Miniature Pinscher This senior is a  perfect match for a mature household that wants to pamper a little dog. Toby Roby is housetrained, crate trained, fine with dogs and cats (except when eating), good on a leash and overall well mannered. He does have 'get up and go' so if you don't have a fenced yard he would need several walks a day. Toby's adopter must be familiar with food guarding. This gentleman is good natured except around food and treats: he gets possessive, therefore no kids. He does not want to be disturbed. His foster writes, "Toby is a very sweet boy, but it takes him a little while to warm up. When it’s food time, he jumps up in the air until you set the bowl on the ground, then beware of approaching this little bugger! After meals he returns to his sweet self. " Toby loves to sleep on the couch pillows and going under the bed covers. He just needs time to adjust to to enjoy his meals in private. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog’s description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.October 3, 2024, 5:03 pm

Story
Tommy is a 6.5-year-old, 15lb Miniature Pinscher. Are you looking for a sweet playful boy to bring joy to your life? Well look no further than Tommy the Min-Pin! Tommy loves to run around and play, and really just wants to be with his person all the time. He isn't a big fan of the crate, so he'd do best with someone who can give him a lot of attention, and he'd love another dog in the house to snuggle with. Tommy is leash trained but needs some work on his housebreaking. If you think you can give this happy boy his forever home, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!October 3, 2024, 5:03 pm
