Story
You little Rascal!!!
Rascal is a playful, sweet natured, 3 year young Min-Pin / chihuahua mix. He is approximately 9 lbs. He is an active pup and will need a family that would enjoy taking him on walks, playing with toys and entertaining this little Rascal!
Rascal is crate-trained and housebroken although he is not familiar with a leash and will need some help learning leash skills.
He has not yet been around children but we believe he would do well. He is great with other dogs and would make a great second dog playmate!
Rascal was brought into the shelter with two other dogs and they were considered “strays” although we believe the person that brought them in may have been their owner. While we are not sure of where he came from, we do know that he certainly has been let down by people in the past and needs a family that will commit to him forever.
Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application.
If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once.
Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws .
We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting.
We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and the perfect forever home for our dogs. We appreciate you working with us.
Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
