Story
CAPE MAY COUNTY. NJ: Looking for a happily ever after? Find it now: Adopt & fall in love with smarty pants PRINCE! Little Prince is 5 year old miniature pinscher mix and 28 lbs handsome boy who, despite his name, has not had a fairy tale life. Sadly, Prince was surrendered to the city shelter when his owner’s children were reportedly abusing him. For a small dog who had never known much kindness or love, Prince is incredibly smart with a large repertoire of tricks (stay, sit, go, down). His adorably large ears must make it easy for him to hear commands! Prince likes to go for walks, has a medium energy level, and gets along with other dogs. All in all, Prince seems like a very good boy who grew up in a not-so-good environment. A normal, calm home with positivity & love makes Prince the most wonderful companion. He loves to hang out in the sunshine with his people and all of his foster fur siblings. Between his previous home and the chaotic city shelter, Prince has never known what it’s like to feel safe and loved before his foster home, where he is truly blossoming. Because of his past trauma, Prince should not be crated and may be a bit shy, but is easily won over with a little patience - and some treats - and then develops a deep bond to his people, becoming affectionate and trusting them implicitly. Prince is neutered, up to date on shots, micro-chipped and ready to begin his new life in a loving forever home! Can you open your heart and show Prince that sometimes dreams really do come true? He would really appreciate his happily ever after - with lots of happiness to share with his new home! If you can adopt dear Prince, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 or info@amsterdog.org for more information, or apply to adopt (or foster-to-adopt) Prince at AmsterDog.org. And thanks for caring about a pet in need!

Story
** Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea ** Meet Leeju👋 She was found on the street in South Korea at just 2 months old and sent to a high-risk city shelter along with her four siblings. Luckily, she was rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and sent to her foster home 2 months later. Her foster family has been taking good care of her since, and she’s been living peacefully with the resident dog. LeeJu is now more than ready for a furever home! • Personality: Friendly, Curious, Cautious LeeJu is such a friendly and lovable pup with a curious and cautious personality. Her energy level is mid-low as she mostly chills in a kennel at home and prefers to have light walkies mainly for the bathroom. • Affinity with - Dogs: Super friendly with other dogs as long as they are not too large or aggressive. She doesn’t respond to barking dogs as well. She currently lives with a resident dog in her foster home, so she will be a good fit for a family with other furry companions. - Cats: Good with cats. - Adults/Kids: Good with both adults & kids. She is calm even when kids pet her. • Walking Manners: Well-mannered! • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, mainly using the bathroom outdoors but sometimes indoors when she can’t go outside. • Bathing/Brushing: Very good. • Car Rides: Not anymore. She got better at car rides. Her foster tries to walk her for potty before jumping into the car. • Separation Anxiety: None. • Barks/Howls: A little bit towards continued noise from outside the house. • Appetite/Food Allergies: She likes any sort of food! / No food allergies. • Likes/Dislikes: She loves being petted on her face while snuggling up to your side! / She feels cold easily due to her short coat. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 If you have an open heart and a loving home for Leeju, please don't hesitate to apply!

Story
Oh look, it's Rico! You might even say this little guy is quite suave...a real ladies man. Jokes aside, this Rico is the cutest 2-year-old and 7-pound miniature pinscher mix. Rico has been nothing but the perfect house guest for his fosters. Rico has been sleeping in his crate at night with no issues and quickly settles down when left alone during the day. He is very curious of other pups while on walks and will do a quick sniff-spection. Outside of a good sniff, walks are still a little confusing to Rico. We feel confident that with some love and patience, Rico will soon be strutting his stuff. In the meantime, pee pads have been helping Rico to get used to the new noises of the city. Rico loves a slow introduction but after just a few days can already be caught following his fosters around. Can't picture it yet? Reach out today to learn more about Rico! Approved adopters interested in Rico can email adopt@hbrdogs.com for more info. If you're not approved yet, apply today at hbrdogs.com.

Story
You little Rascal!!! Rascal is a playful, sweet natured, 3 year young Min-Pin / chihuahua mix. He is approximately 9 lbs. He is an active pup and will need a family that would enjoy taking him on walks, playing with toys and entertaining this little Rascal! Rascal is crate-trained and housebroken although he is not familiar with a leash and will need some help learning leash skills. He has not yet been around children but we believe he would do well. He is great with other dogs and would make a great second dog playmate! Rascal was brought into the shelter with two other dogs and they were considered “strays” although we believe the person that brought them in may have been their owner. While we are not sure of where he came from, we do know that he certainly has been let down by people in the past and needs a family that will commit to him forever. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and the perfect forever home for our dogs. We appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
